Re: Greenland

Had enough of UEFA repeatedly turning down their application to become members, so today they have applied to become members of CONCACAF instead. UEFA qualifying criteria is that the UN need to recognise you as fully independent nation, so greenland fails there. Good luck to 'em I say! How are Wale...

Re: Ex Players

Many congratulations to our ex goalkeeper, Alex McCarthy, for getting promotion to the Premier League with Southampton yesterday; I hope he gets his chance as their first choice keeper next season. Looks like he's out of contract, with Celtic and Liverpool interested: https://www.fourfourtwo.com/li...

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

1 year anniversary just passed 160k passengers used the station in the last year. Much more than expected. I come into Reading from Basingstoke a couple of times a week & the station has got steadily busier as the year has gone on It will probably only keep getting busier as Green Park Village ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Just as an aside, the 2022-23 accounts still haven't appeared on Companies House. The deadline is at the end of next month. Don't know what penalties there could be for overdue accounts.

Rotherham have already made five signings, all free transfers: Jonson Clarke-Harris (from Peterborough); Reece James (Sheff Wed); Shaun McWilliams (Northampton); Joe Rafferty (Portsmouth); Sean Raggett (Portsmouth). They'll be challenging towards the top this season. Some astute signings there by S...

Re: Scottish premier league.

From Despair To Where? Genuinely thought Taylor and Carter-Vickers were nearer 30. They seem to have been around for years.

Both are twenty-six! Greg Taylor started playing regular first team football at eighteen; Carter-Vickers went out on loan to Sheffield United when he was nineteen.

Re: Scottish premier league.

It does speak volumes that Butland was their POTS but I'm not sure any Rangers outfield player would get in the Celtic team. I also think the point about the Rangers defence is equally valid for Celtic as well. It's not great and it shows against better quality teams. I think it applies to Celtic t...

Re: Scottish premier league.

Once again showing what happens when you don't have a natural goalscorer in the team. Apart from the disallowed goal, Rangers didn't trouble Hart. Idah follows up the one half decent shot and buries the rebound. I've watched Cantwell all season because I thought he looked a decent player in the Cha...

Winston Biscuit First Scotch FA Cup Final between Celtic & Rangers in 22 years

Yeah, I know?!

That was a surprise when I saw it, although they've played each other a lot in the competition since then: ten times, including five times in the semi-final since 2016.

ACADEMY RETAINED LIST CONFIRMED So, we've either retained or offered a new deal to everyone who was in the U21 squad vs Sunderland except Carson (who we knew about anyway), Paul and Collins. Sackey isn't listed, but I imagine he's on a youth contract. Collins going isn't much of a surprise to me, e...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Keeping Cat 1 status in L1 is insane. It's certainly not viable for a club our size in League One, if the new owner chooses to keep Cat 1 that would certainly be ambitious, hopefully not foolhardy. It can only be a short term thing. A lot of Championship clubs say they can't afford Category One sta...

QPR at home is dull, but fully excepting we'll play someone like Swansea at home for the final friendly once again which is even duller.

South Coast Royal
Would never have thought of him as manager material but good luck to him.
The article didn't mention his very successful time at Bristol Rovers.

Was that very successful time with the Chairman’s daughter … allegedly

Renowned for his scoring prowess of course.

Obviously still a fox in the box.

Leverkusen 2-0 down in the Europa League final against Atalanta. Would be a shame if they fell now.
