Re: VAR

I don't want VAR as it changes the game too much. Even if used to make all the calls correct, it would need to change too much about how the game is to be able to do that, and that to me is not success.

get it in the bin

Re: VAR

my only issue with a post VAR removal world is that you just know the likes of Sky Sports will continue to use lines drawn on the pitch when an offside is not called, to try and push all the conversation towards a 'ooh you wouldn't have had that with VAR' If we can use it relatively successfully in...

Re: Weekend Football

Would it be going too far to say the 3 relegated teams from the PL this season are the 3 worst promoted sides (as a collective) we have seen so far? Yep. And that's wholly by design. The system is oxf*rd. Two of the teams that narrowly escaped the drop only did so by breaking 'financial sustainabil...

Re: Weekend Football

Have to say fair play to Chelsea and Pochettino, too. They seem to have found a formula that works, and have now lost just once in 14 games Wolves seem to be the mirror image to Chelsea. O'Neil was getting tons of praise earlier in the season for the work he was doing there, but their end of season...

Re: Weekend Football

Can you find me a similar situation then? It just feels like such a one-off, so not sure how you can say that without just assuming, which is not fair its not a one off at all though, I think thats part of what people are bemused at. Would you see Everton fans saying they want to lose, then cheerin...

Re: Weekend Football

Easy choice. As I said. Anyone who doesn't understand that doesn't understand what it means to have an actual rivalry. I am going with a strong disagree on this one. Almost all clubs have a big rivalry (we must have one of a tiny minority that don't), and you don't see them doing what Spurs fans we...

Re: Is Pep a genius?

WestYorksRoyal Even KDB was not a big name when City bought him; he was a Chelsea flop who did well at Wolfsburg

€75M. 2nd most expensive signing ever in the PL at the time

Re: Is Pep a genius?

I don't like how he seems to sometimes pick an opposition player to approach at full time and give some kind of motivational talk to, and the player reacts like they have been touched by the hand of god.

Re: Weekend Football

planned on putting money on Man City scoring a hatfull against West Ham but the odds are terrible. To score 4 or more they are only evens and 5 or more is 9/4

Looks like they also expect West Ham to take something of a walloping

Re: Weekend Football

Most Arsenal fans have some memory of success so I'm not convinced they'd be quite as small time as the Spurs fans were Thats the difference I think. If you have something to play for then you are wrapped up in your own possible achievements, Spurs fans decide to behave this way as season after sea...

Re: Weekend Football

genome Oh it's utterly pathetic, petty, you name it. Don't care though. Arsenal fans would've done the same, 10000%

I am not sure they would tbh. I am sure you would find a few individuals that would, but in general I think they, like most fans, just prioritise their own club above their rivals club.
