Re: Transfer Window Ins and Outs

Deathy Stephen Hunt tells some scrawny bloke on SSN that he is unlikely to be going anywhere.

With N'Zogbia now having a medical at Wigan, and Spurs being tied up with the Keane deal, I reckon he's probably spot on there!

Re: Transfer Window Ins and Outs

Robbie Keane having medical at Spurs this afternoon?

Expected result: "There's absolutely nothing wrong with him. He just can't play in red."

Re: Transfer Window Ins and Outs

Deathy Wolves sign Cristophe Berra (is that right?) from Hearts. Midfielder I think.

Centre back I think.

Re: Transfer Window Ins and Outs

The only transfer that matters today is Palacios to Spurs for £14m. Come on Wigan. Do the right thing! I've emailed them asking to take Hunt off our hands so we can go out and buy somebody that actually wants to be at the club If the figures are right, Wigan have made 13m on Palacios in 12 months. ...

Re: Coppell Young Manager

Without researching this in greater depth, I would hastily suggest that Coppell is one of the oldest managers in the Championship... maybe he's referring to Pardew?

Re: Marek... a debate

Over the last 3 or 4 years, our best football has been played by attacking down the flanks. In other words, we're predictable. Marek is perhaps a plan B player for when wingplay isn't working. Marek the new Darren Caskey? Which would suggest that he might be better employed as a substitute, or alte...

Re: Marek... a debate

Most of the imbeciles on this thread may have something to offer the board, but I cannot for the life of me see what it may be...maybe we need to adapt the way we play to accomodate a player with the vision of Marek rather than he's "too good" to fit into our team? Oh, and Rabidbee - grea...

Re: Back from the Blackpool game...

Marek - 7. Great in the first half, some lovely touches, faded in the second. An enigma for me really, clearly the most skilful player we have but somehow always dissappoints . Bit embarrassing the way he went down as if pole-axed which clearly influenced the ref in sending off Hendrie. This, for m...

Re: Marek... a debate

As I put in another thread, he's a superbly skillful player but not a particularly effective one. He needs space to thrive, which he'll not get in a league where most teams play 5 in midfield against us, and his vision is far greater than the vision of his teammates, so many of his through balls in...

Marek... a debate

I just don't see what he offers to the team. Tonight I saw a collection of passes which were loose, a less than industrious defensive performance, and in general a player who does not fit into that side. Over the last 3 or 4 years, our best football has been played by attacking down the flanks. The ...

Re: Back from the Blackpool game...

Poor performance. Good result. Blackpool chances ruined by a very, VERY harsh red card. (I was right in front of it)

Nuff said.

Re: Lita's Spot Kick v Stoke

I've just got in from the local, and only saw the P.K so I wasn't at the game, but I've just had this discussion with 3 mates in the pub. The more you see it, the more you think that he leathered that as hard as he could. If you see his body shape when foot hits ball there's no way he intended anyt...

Oh, you see his face everywhere you go
In the box, and even down the wing you know
Liam Rosenior
Baby, Liam Rosenior

Oh, he always gets a 10/10
I'll be surprised if Murty gets another game again
