Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I wonder who the NDA's are between - If it's the club and the prospective new owners, then if they become owners they can choose to ignore it since they won't sue theirselves for breacking the NDA, unless it's a sneaky way to put money into the club.... break an NDA and pay the £50m penalty fee, clu...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

The Olise things is rumours. I would assume if a player has a buy out clause which is fully met it nullifies the existing contract and would leave the buying club free to negotiate from scratch. I guess it depends what the actual contract said. On this weeks That Peter Crouch podcast, they were cov...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Surely people would be buying on a credit card and would therefore simply claim the money back from the credit card company if the club folded? That implies people have credit cards. Around 64% of adults have at least one credit card in the UK - leaving 36% without one. The age breakdown is such th...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

STAR asked me to post this As Reading fans we are all desperate to see a sale completed. We are in a tough position. Discretion is essential at this stage of negotiations, but we also know Reading fans are anxious for updates. This is being made worse by false reporting and inaccurate rumour-monger...

Courtney Friday tweets: An interested party currently walking around SCL with....... Rob Couhig Can Bearwood be sold while Chiron have a charge on it? Mortgage companies put a charge on your home, it just means you have to get the charge lifted to sell, usually by repaying them the amount of the ch...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

Generally, a new government is judged on the first 100 days. If Labour or anyone else other than the Conservatives win, They will want to make changes and get their new polices in place as soon as possible, the things they pledged to do when elected. Not sure pushing through some leftover policy fr...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

The Football Governance Bill didn't get passed prior to the wind-up of the current Parliament, so we're a but further away from any formal Regulator (and / or being made an early doors Test Case, as Roger Titford reported in the new WSC). Probably a good thing. Labour will resurrect it, with a PM w...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

If an invoice doesn't quote a purchase order that matches one that was approved it isn't getting paid. Unless you operate your company without any sort of accounting / finance software this scam would never work. I didn't do that, even as a sole trader. Auto approval under a certain value still nee...

I love that the agent had the cojones to send an unsolicited invoice for £800,000 without a formal contract in place. And he seemed genuinely surprised when we didn't pay it I too would like to try my luck invoicing random companies for ~1 million pounds, you never know   There was (and p...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

Howe's no longer involved in player contracts anyway and from once the club sale is completed, I'm not sure he was ever going to have any day to day involvement in running the club, so apart from the fine, it's a pretty nothing punishment and all seems like a fat waste of time, except for the FA be...

Re: Home shorts colour

Reading FC Women - Probably better with blue shorts, for the same reason England Women don't wear white shorts (google/ask your mum/ teacher to explain it) Reading FC Men - I personally don't mind, as long as it's one of the other. Probably say white is more traditional yet the 106 season wore blue ...

Manager's Car

So what's with the knobby personalised number plate on the managers car? - It's the same one Ince had, which I assumed was because he was a knob and maybe bought it with his success bonus (number place is BONUS with some 1's in it because I assume his bonus wouldn't stretch to one that just read BON...

Re: Dave Kitson interview

The Price of Football Podcast has an interview today with "Dave Kitson, former Reading player, now national team manager of Pacific Island Nauru " Not listened to it yet, but my guess is he'll be talking a bit about Reading rather than any of his other clubs as they were omitted from the ...
