Gordons Cumming I think the whole experience against Arsenal may have made other teams underestimate us again.

Hopefully.

you've just cheered me up, Gordon.

Uke unlike the pain of watching Reading lose 1-0 to a scrappy match with a fluke deflection goal.

I thought this was a reference to the Chelsea game?

ps watched both games on SKY.

I disagree with Uke. (Putting the distasteful goalkeeper injuries and the aftermath aside) I far preferred the Chelsea game. Why? Because we rattled Chelsea, deserved a draw, lost by only one (lucky deflected) goal and generally gave a great account of ourselves on live national TV (not MOTD, becaus...

Royal Rother
And you think of yourself as a football fan?

yes I do. A very partisan one, I admit.

I have no doubt about how brilliant Arsenal were yesterday, but I did not enjoy seeing them pissing on us. At all.

If I supported Arsenal as well as Reading then I would have been far happier.

As for Arsenal, thats the best display of attacking, team football I ever have seen against a Reading side. Its a shame more fans didn't stay until the end to clap both teams off the field and acknowledge Arsenal's peformance. You are joking. No it's not a shame. Yes Arsenal were very very good and...

no. But there are many "Arsenal Royals" on this Board (one for sure on this thread) who will have been at least partly happy with today.

GG is, of course, exempt as she is a genuine Gooner.

I'd add Hunt to that "not good enough" list, much as I like his attitude.

ps could all "Reading"/Arsenal fans NOT post for a couple of days. That result really hurts those of us who only follow one team.

Much appreciated.

bit harsh to lock my Shane Long thread :(

anyway, 2-0 to Ireland, spoke to Steve Staunton (he looked haunted).

About 450 in the crowd, mostly ex pats (or current Pats, :) )

oh dear! Slight over-reaction methinks. Shame it's left to your English boys to cheat, just as you seem to have reformed your Dutch and African contingent! Shame the rest of your over-priced over-paid prima donnas couldn't rise to the challenge in the way Drogba did. I thought he seemed to be revel...

my God, compare their forward line and attacking options to Man U's the other week :? .

That said, we can do it.

ps I'd have had Gunnarsson in for Hunt who I fear may well be out of his depth (much as I love him).

I am on the Sabena flight from Brussels on the Tuesday evening, so get two nights in the Toon. Travelling and staying with Geordie mate who knows people with an executive box at St James'. Not sure if I'll wear colours, as it is 100% Home end. But I hope to meet up with those of you I know. And thos...

good on CT for being with the fans, of course. But how long has he been supporting Reading? He was never around Elm Park or, as far as I know, the Madstad, pre last season or so. In fact I think he always used to state he supported Man U.

ps he is welcome of course.

We do not know the background to what happened with this 17 yo, and if he was taking the piss/ being threatening he surely would deserve a smack. But if all he was doing was being there, then he should have been told to cover up (if his presence annoyed you) or even to move to the away end, where th...
