Isn't the buyback scheme something that the club have to offer as part of the Premier League charter? As a result, their hands are tied a bit as to what they can and can't do.

I'm sure I heard him mention West Ham in that interview, and possibly Charlton .. anyone else hear that? I'm imagining he was either saying "I would have preferred to join West Ham/ Charlton, but had to make do with Reading" or, on a more positive note, "I think Reading can emulate West Ham next se...

Never heard of him. Presumably he's rubbish as he's a League 1 player, not the sort of player we should be targetting. A waste of money. Still 7 new signings required. Of course he is because all players at the level are rubbish, I mean they must be. And 7 players  Christ are you in for a di...

Re: 7's

Always thought this was a great innitiative as any child's allegiences are usually formed by the age of 8, and what better way than to have them walking around in an RFC shirt. Well that's what I thought. My little one now qualifies, so I've down loaded the form only to find its not the hoops they ...

For the Sodje story.

Seol is apparently having Squad Number 19, have the other squad numbers been released and is Doyle having number 9? I hope so :)

Yes mate. Doyle is No.9.

Just watched his goals from the Brentford World site and, although he isn't the biggest, he looks pretty good in the air (obviously these are headers he's won so it's a bit of biased view). There was one where he'd obviously brought the ball out from the back and played a one two before winning a f...

How come our £1m signing hasnt even made news on Sky Sports news?! Well considering our official site hasn't been updated to show that he has signed yet, it's unlikely to be on Sky. They did report the deal on Friday though along with Convey's new deal. It's been on there that he's officially signe...

I think we definitely need more black players in the team and welcome this signing. Maguire against racial discrimination. What difference dose the colour of his skin make? Black, white, yellow or green no matter as long as they can play to a high level of football. I'm just generally disappointed ...

They could prove quite popular this year, esp due to the cost of Premiership football and availability of tickets. Could prove a big hit with families with football mad kids esp as some big name players could well be involved.

It's simple really. We won't play Prem sides unless we were invited to some pointless competition in SE Asia (except for money of course). So that leaves, a tour - more about bonding and fitness then anything - and away games at lower league sides. Most of the top European sides ask a fee to come ov...

Why are you all complaining??? £16 to watch a top European side sounds a bargain to me. Wow its a friendly, big deal... I couldn't care less who we are playing. I would never pay £16 for what is a glorified training session. The players won't be at it full pelt as they won't want to get injured and...

YorkshireRoyal THAT miss against Birmingham's reserves in the FA Cup replay says it all. Not good enough.

So on that basis, you'll be putting £100 on Steven Hunt to finish top scorer in the Prem next year based on his goal in the same game?

Who would you drop for Seol? Little or Convey? And do you see Hunt or Oster pushing there way into the first team? Who says he's an automatic first choice? He may start on the bench, all depends on how the players look in pre-season. Agreed. I'd be very suprised if he's been brought in as an automa...
