Looks like Jason Roberts will stay if he fully recovers from his op and has a good preseason. I think that is good as he is good for the club. A good mentor for the youngsters and can still score at
Championship level. If we can keep ALF and bring in another striker that should be enough. Also time to promote a kid or two from the academy. A couple look good enough the number 9 who scored against united recemtly! just need to strengthen the defence with power and pace AND keep mcCarthy!

Need to keep HRK, i think he will be our gem next season especially if Adkins can see the light and play him upfront/behind striker

Cant agree about Kanu. If he was a gem he would have shown it by now. I think Adkins will want to keep the bulk of his squad together. Those on just one year left on their contracts are likely to leave unless he rates them. We could still get a fee and the player will want more security. Don't be surprised if we have basically the same squad.

Generally the club sticks to contracts. So I think those out of contract will be gone – Tabb, Church, Harte, Pearce, S Taylor. Shorey and Roberts have 1 yr options. Hunt has been offered a new deal –may or may not accept.
We’ll listen to offers for those with a year to go – McAnuff, Kebe, Robson-Kanu, Leigertwood – all unlikely, Gorkss probably.
The rest, I think will hang on with Anton taking a gamble on paying high wages in the hope that we bounce back immediately. If we don’t get promoted next season then there will be a massive clearout.
Players in? Not many – Left back is the obvious position, but I think there will be some fringe Premiership players brought in relatively cheaply to cover those that will leave.

I think he may well rate him after today. He's wasted on the wing, striker or just behind is best!!

Fair enough, sounds like he has a decent attitude. Would be nice if we can build a team around him and utilise him properly in the Prem if we make it back up.

He looked a cut above the rest of the team when we started the season IMO but very quickly ended up chasing hopeful long punts most games & his head dropped a bit in the end.....but you can hardly blame him for that as it happened to them all.

He will be a force next season if we do keep him. Seems like a decent guy to me - hasn't shown a bad attitude at all.

Personally don't rate the Pog, would be quite happy to see him leave.
