Our top wage earner, who doesn't give a flying fig about playing for the Royals. Surely he can be in breach of contract and we can sack him. A man stealing a living when we are deep in the s*it

Why would he be in breach of contract?

He isn't, as long as he is turning up to work as expected - playing in the first team is not a contractual requirement.

Yeah, I know he isn't... just trying to work out why BBB would think so :)

Assuming he is making himself available if selected

I would expect clauses about making reasonable efforts to be fit and turning up to training making reasonable efforts whilst there. Showing some degree of professional standards, etc.

There may well be but those would be very hard to pin down to a level where you could start disciplinary action in terms of cancelling a contract or even fining him.

If he turns up and does as asked i.e. trains at the times he is asked to, attends any fitness sessions, team meeting etc then he will be meeting the bare minimum standards required. He probably isn't busting a gut to get back in the team for reasons known only to him.

As said above, this guy has stolen a living for 2 years, this isn't just Selles as Ince and Pauno had the same problems.

I expect he's also a bad influence on the u21's and the first thing the new owners should do is negotiate a pay off with this waste of space.

I really wanted Ejaria to be a great success, but he’s a complete and utter waste of space.

For me, the departure of Ejaria will be the end of an era (error). Overpaid, overhyped players who never really lived up to expectations finally all gone.

I think the Ejaria situation will improve if we all throw tennis balls onto his front lawn after marching to his house from blue collar street food. In fact this is the answer for everything from now on, maybe the route can also include Ruben Selles house.

I've never boo'd an individual player in 50 years of supporting Reading but if this waste of space comes on as a sub for a cameo performance next year when we are as good as down I may make an exception to this.

So Ejaria fell out with Ince. A new manager comes in so it should be a clean slate but somehow Selles now appears to have ****** off Ejaria so we're effectively all back at square one. Perhaps Ejaria is too intelligent and can see through the managerial shambles that the club keep appointing and just doesn't buy into cr@p. Ejaria for manager anyone.

I never thought I'd ever see someone describe Ejaria as too Intelligent.

Not ready to play. Unforgivable. Stop paying him ( which should be difficult ) and get rid.

Newspaper article of Ejaria:

https://www.rangersnews.uk/news/rangers ... ie-ejaria/

The number of days Reading haven't won away is remarkably similar to the number of days Ovie's not played for

Where is he? Is he injured or just not part of the plans?

So what does he do, train and spend Saturday watching soccer Saturday?

He is a real talent but one of those players who just rots away to nothing

He's fit according to Selles and training with the U21's as his application is not at the required level for the first team.

Interestingly he also isn't getting any game time with the U21's....

It’s like Sancho at United it’s almost as if they don’t want to play. When he looks back on his career he will have those two goals at Fulham and some bank statements.
