Why's that Nath? Any rhyme or reason? Or purely gut instinct? Be interested to know.

Wycombe have been playing well for the majority of the season without getting results, they have tried to get away from the Ainsworth hoofball tactic they were so accustomed to. I think it has to click eventually. We are also due a heavy defeat after a recent good run. Just a feeling.

A goal difference of -3 suggests they are bang average, and like most teams in this division are very inconsistent. Capable of playing well, and capable of playing badly. With us being at home, and having had considerably better form over the past few months, we are favourites, but we were favourites v Shrewsbury, so anything could happen.

I think you both make fair observations. My thoughts are that Shrewsbury scored with two worldies and our lads were on the back end of a heavy schedule. So would like to think that a refreshed squad will perform with more endeavour and vigour. Whilst also bearing in mind that a decent ex-Reading player is returning to play on the 'hallowed' turf. What could possibly go wrong?

Isn't our form top 6 since the new year? And we're especially good at home. I'm treating Shrewsbury as an aberration; some worldies conceded and a flat 2nd half performance at the end of a punishing run of games.

Wycombe won't be pushovers. They recently put 5 past Peterborough and can punish us if we're not at it. But if we perform close to the level we're capable of, we should win.

As with most games in this division, if the team are on it, then we have more than enough to win and win comfortably. However, if the standards drop even a bit, Wycombe will have the ability to hurt us.

Yes, defence is soft enough that if we let Wycombe get in the game.they can hurt us. Whilst attack is somewhat dysfunctional, if it has one of its on days, we shouod win comfortably, but it could also have one of its whiff at everything days.

I didn't realise our best crowd of the season was so low. I was reading about a high crowd being expected and was thinking 18000+.

I guess this season has been all about adjusting expectations downwards.

Our highest this season was 15,972 against Leyton Orient (around 14,000 home fans).

Wycombe have sold "more than 1,600 tickets", with tickets available on the day.

15,500 could possibly be the highest amount of home fans we've had this season, even if the overall attendance is a bit lower than Leyton Orient.

I was at the Madejski, seeing those big crowds. How about you?

Oh good. Ref is dreadful.

Looking straight at a clear push on a jumping Kelv. Nothing.

Gave a fouk against Azeez when Wycombe obstruct him.

Throw the wrong way at least once.

Not happy with the persistence with defensive passing with such a high hard press. Craig and Wing aren't going to beat that.

I'm fine with Vale losing. Increases the gap as things stand.
