Not that I want to think about it but Bolton have been 2-0 before and won a playoff final

Can’t remember who that was against, thankfully

Good news
We’re a couple of minutes behind and Mrs F talked over the reference to previous years so I didn’t hear it 8)

Biggest positive is Bolton can’t be that bad in the second half, can they?

Bolton remind me of us under Stam. Oxford are deservedly ahead tbf and I see no way back for Bolton, but hope I am wrong.

Yeah. No drive, intensity or ambition.

The last gift of the Dai era. A local rival we spent two decades above of in the football pyramid getting promoted to the division above us.

Still time for a McAteer response. Be  if Bolton do another 94/95 recovery.

From Reading's perspective both teams are inconsistent garbage so, for next season, it doesn't matter which one stays down.

Not going to make assertions that they'll get massacred in the Championship, but it will be a massive achievement if they survive. Weakest of the 3 promoted sides, smallest club in the division and smallest budget. Would need a season of Brannagan and Murphy both fit and in form, plus some smart recruitment.

Only consolation is it must be better than being a Bolton fan today.

I don't know what's wrong with Bolton today, they're much better than this. From the games we played, they were the best in the division. Better than Portsmouth and Derby.

Aside from the Oxford rivalry, it's the other reason I want a Bolton win. Immediate favourites for next season if they lose imo. Like us after Walsall all those years ago.

Bolton’s crossing is awful. The amount of chances they’ve wasted because of it must be in the double figures now.

Not had a shot on target yet. Outfought on the pitch and outthought off the pitch.

Fair assessment. They've been a better side than Oxford all season but you have to do the basics.

Don't care enough about Oxford to hate them. They've been irrelevant for 40 years.

First time they'll be in a higher division than Reading for 30 of those!

No shots on target in a playoff final is criminal
