Winston Biscuit Tennis balls at the Hertha Vs Hamburg game at the weekend, but some of their fans used the launcher things you can throw them with when walking your dog

If you know what you're doing with those things you can launch a ball at 70 mph

Yeah, use it at cricket and being 22 yards away from someone launching a cricket ball at you from one of those is pretty frightening.

Not least because of the excellent bounce you get from delivering a ball from over 7ft, not a pleasant “throat” ball.

When I asked STAR on Thursday, they said it had been move to "early next week" - well it is Wednesday today and the regular cadence was supposed to be Thursday's - so god knows.

Doesn't look like that independent regulator is coming any time soon.

Realiaitically, it was already too late to help us, even if they'd scheduled the legislation 3 weeks ago.

We've got about 4 / 5 months max unless we're sold

Just like every other business model. "No you can't have independent regulators as they might do things that we, the businesses involved, don't like and therefore we might not be able to inflict on you what we tell you is right".

The FA and the FL need to stand up to these ******* clubs once and for all and tell them to do one and that if they don't accept proper regulation they will be ejected from membership of the FA which I believe would mean they would also lose access to all UEFA and FIFA competitions.

As with everything in society though influence and money talks and those with loads of it can get whatever they want regardless.

I hope Reading fans keep up the good fight for a regulator when this is over, but it's irrelevant for our situation, it is miles behind when we need it. But of course, it costs save us in the future if we get another poor owner, whether that's 2 years or 50 years.

A ‘regulator’!!!!

It’s such a bizarre response.

Just think about what you are saying.

Who pays for it (look out for the gravy train)

Who decides what they regulate and what they don’t?

And what does it mean - another layer of bureaucracy… more cost to fans ….

Be careful what you wish for.

The FCA and the Labour Government (in an attempt to beat the market-end boom and bust yawn yawn) and give some real power to the regulator by employing totally inexperienced graduates……managed such levels of ineptitude that they allowed record lending to those who couldn’t afford it after the sale of all our mutual companies (bribery by shareholding) and a resultant crash of the banks….

Whilst happily raking in the taxes during the lending spree - and then managing to overspend on that….

Hurray for regulation…...

We will be paying for it for years and years….

We (RFC) are in the crap - it will be resolved and we will move on….

Foreign owners; relying on offshore structures for financing should not be able to purchase clubs in UK.

Some of what has allegedly gone on at City is outrageous but they will probably get away with it all, If they don’t, they’ll be going out of business.

The current ‘regulators’ won’t allow it…..

Hurray for FFP….

Grow up.
Who will the violence be directed at?
What's the point of smashing up our club which we are trying to save?

By all means run onto the pitch and beat yourself up with a weapon - it will certainly get some headlines and you'll get plenty of people cheering you on.

Traditionally, we're Bournemouth's big rivals. I'd be surprised if many of their fans actually gave a shit.
