The good form of the U18's continued on Saturday with a comfortable win over a high-flying Wolves side. Shaughnessy (2) and Husin with the goals. One point of note was the first appearance (to my knowledge) of one of the young Icelandics we brought in over the summer.

The U21's will be facing a very strong Wolves squad this evening (http://www.wolves.co.uk/news/article/strong-under-21s-squad-300913-1086425.aspx) at Telford, and given our side will likely be depleted due to a few of the younger lads travelling up to Barnsley to cover some of the injury worries we have I'd say that the odds of evens for a Wolves win that are readily available would be exceptional value for those considering a Judas bet.

Good shout. You can get Wolves at 13/10 with WillHill.

I shall be going to the U21s game against Wolves this evening as I'm only 25 mins travelling distance away from the Bucks Head. Like you say, Wolves will field a strong looking side so It could be a very tough game indeed.

Who do you imagine will be travelling to Barnsley as cover?

Tshibola and Taylor aren't in the squad named on the OS. Given they traveled up to Derby I think it's safe to assume they'll be on the coach.

Does Obita no longer count as an u21 even though he's 19?

Wolves won 4-0

Considering the squad they had out there hardly surprising, the likes of Jamie O'hara and Elokobi played

Liam Kelly apparently scored another cracker, this time for Ireland under 19s.

Hopefully will be on YouTube soon.

Has to be said, this lad seems to be starting to score some pretty spectacular goals, on a regular basis now. Let's hope he continues to do this, and do it for RFC

Hopefully he develops physically, because, like Tanner, he's another who may struggle when it comes to playing against the big boys. Fingers crossed because in terms of technique he's as good as any in his age group.

They are both small even by youth team standards, they will need protection and support from the team when they come in, so they don't get bullied and have their confidence wrecked early on as pro's.

With the modern games inching it's way towards a non-contact sport - does the size/strength of a young player matter that much any more?
