Wonder if those highlights have been edited in our favour or if they came from Arsenal because yeh, they looked decent

Probably RFC edited, but one of the Arsenal bloggers at the game did say we were the better side.

Either way, a chance to see the youngsters in a full game comes a week on saturday when we play Liverpool which will most likely be shown live on their TV channel and then repeated in full at various times throughout the following few days.

Some sexy football here. Particularly from the likes of Kelly and Conor. Cardwell is a big bugger.

w_r who is the #10 and who is the #6?

Presumably #10 is Kelly? Looks a player.

Yep, #10 is Kelly. IIRC and #6 is the defender who scored the first then that'll be Dom Hyam.

Not sure, think that's in the summer.

Stumbled across this while looking though:

Short terms for a 17 year old, he'll still only be 19/20 when that expires. Wonder if that means they expect him to break through soon.

They probably want to avoid giving a 17 year old any longer tbh. From the club's point of view, they don't want to be tied in too long to a player who may not even make the grade, and also it keeps the player motivated rather than allowing him the opportunity to sit back on a 3/4 year deal, which seems to happen to plenty of promising English youngsters these days.

Good news though, especially given his form this season, at least we'll be avoiding an Ikpeazu situation come the summer.

ZacNaloen Who has yet to make an appearance for Watford as it happens.

Or a spot on the bench. Seems he has competition from Mensah similarly to he did here from Samuel. Mensah seems to be higher rated at Watford, too.

There were reports a week or so back they want to loan him out [as well as Mensah and two others].

Looks like Ugwu, on loan at Shrewsbury in League 1 and getting good reviews from his first game, might have caught up to Uche...

Bowman's Quiver http://www.newburytoday.co.uk/2013/in-this-weeks-newbury-weekly-news-59

This seems to have gone under the radar.

From the footballer gets arrested thread, but I thought it was worth reposting here.

Newbury Weekly News In this week’s Newbury Weekly News, a traumatised motorist has told of the moment he was maimed during a savage and terrifying road rage attack.

Victim James Mannion was left with sheets of skin hanging from his neck, lifelong scars and severe vision damage from the bloody and prolonged assault, Newbury magistrates heard.

A witness said the perpetrator – 20-year-old Matthew Partridge of Oak Tree Road, Thatcham – put so much weight behind each blow he rained on his victim that his own feet left the floor with every punch.

Shocking photographs of Mr Mullion’s battered and bloodied face were handed to the court and Victoria Griffiths, prosecuting, revealed that Mr Partridge has previously been cautioned for an offence so similar, she initially thought they were one and the same incident.

Sounds like a bit of an oxf*rd, but I can't help thinking how would your feet leave the floor? Surely he's doing it wrong?
