Snowflake Royal Apparently Lyle Taylor gave away a penalty late on Tuesday that meant Cambridge went into the final day at risk of relegation, he hit back at (legit) criticism on social media (not heard any suggestion of racist abuse etc) and then walked out of the club on Wednesday.
What a wrong 'un.
He was certainly poor against us, absolutely shocking lack of effort.

Still remember in the 19/20 Covid affected season he refused to sign a 6 week extension at Charlton for the restart and their ultimately unsuccessful relegation fight. Exactly the sort of character you don't want at your club.

Stranded Seem to be some strong rumours about that Jonson Clarke-Harris will be signing from Mansfield.
Have absolutely no interest in us signing him esp as he is allegedly after big money but that could be seen as a bit of a "statement signing" from them if that is true.

Seems to be a typo, so for clarity he'd be signing for Mansfield (from Peterborough). Apparently for a two year deal, with Mansfield having an option of an additional year.
Seems to have had a relatively poor season - scoring nine (compared to 26 and 31 in his previous two League One seasons). Scored only three since Christmas (17 matches). He's 30 this summer, probably in decline.
I wouldn't want to sign him either, especially if he's on very high wages for League One (people talking about £10k p/w). Better options will be out there for less money.

Mr Angry You have to laugh at Birmingham; they survived easily the season we got relegated and looking good lying in 6th in early October, when the new American owners decided to sack the Manager John Eustace and bring in someone to "instill the winning mentality and positive culture" that the new owners wanted.
Bringing in Wayne Rooney, the rot set in early, and just 15 games later he was sacked but the damage was done; Tony Mowbray came in but had to stop working through illness, and after a total of SIX managers across the season, even a victory in their last game wasn't enough to save them from coming back into the 3rd tier for the first time since 1995 with Plymouth's 1-0 win v Cardiff, and Blackburn's 2-0 victory at Leicester sealing their fate.
Blackburn's manager? John Eustace................

Clyde1998 Wycombe have just been taken over by a Kazakh billionaire: link.
I don't know what they'll be able to do under FFP, but the article talks about youth development.
The current Chairman will remain in place during a transition period.

"The football world is evolving very fast and our priority will be to integrate data analytics and technology to elevate the club’s performance to new levels.
"I am also a strong believer in youth development and it will be fundamental to the club’s vision. We aim to re-open and build a leading high-performance academy which will become an essential part of our long-term strategy of developing a club that consistently performs at the top level."

Sutekh Think this is how ownership changes should be done. Largely quietly and in the background with the first news really being confirmation that all is done and dusted. Meanwhile at Reading...
The new owner says:"The football world is evolving very fast and our priority will be to integrate data analytics and technology to elevate the club’s performance to new levels.

Now try to buy Bearwood.
