The shirt features the fans squad number, number 13, following an idea born on the Hob Nob Anyone? discussion forums. The idea, originally posted by a member named Silver Fox, was eventually passed to RFSC and RFC who agreed that the fans should be given the spare squad number - to make 13 lucky for Reading Football Club. All fans are encouraged to get a number 13 shirt to show their support for the club and make the fans the real extra player.
