Re: Kits is sad.......poor bastard!

i have my sources at the club (hence why i know about Coppells transfer dealings when he pulled out of deals for Gary O'Neill and Matty taylor at last minute) and it was clear that Shorey and Sonko wanted out from day one. Shorey handed in a transfer request in jan. Kitson went with the attitude th...

Re: silly of the club or not??

Surely you are not surprised when there was so much full about the sale of half season tickets in 2005/06. If the pro-rated the cost of an ST there would be no plastics and then where would we be?

Re: " Young Guns "

If Coppell was to come out and say he's let players go to give the youngsters a chance then I would applaud him for it. What concerns me though is that the young players may be starting simply because Coppell's hand has been forced. You should have come to the fans forum Forbes as he did say there ...

Because he was oxf*rd cheap. Tight arsed chairman wouldn't cough up for Surman, who, imo is the better player by a country mile.

An interesting opinion? Or do you have a source that it the club would not spend more? Not what I heard from someone in the know so what do you base it on?

Re: Madejski's comments to BBC Radio Berkshire

[ Your assumption there is that the current situation re finances in football will stay the same. That people will continue to pay hand of over fist for tickets/tv subscriptions etc - I don't believe they will especially if things continue to get tighter out in the real world. Certainly agree with ...

Re: Madejski's comments to BBC Radio Berkshire

The Chairman's owns the training ground. 100% Agreed he owns the land and RFC pays rent for the lease, but the club owns the improvements. Not really worth much if he sells the land. Depends on how long the lease is and as the property is 'long term leasehold property' I suspect any new owne...

Re: Madejski's comments to BBC Radio Berkshire

Finally people are realising what this bloke is about. Madejski is filling his pockets to go and when he walks and is bought out he will have made a profit. Good business I suppose but I just want rid of him asap. I am no apologist for JM - in fact I have serious doubts about him in some aspects bu...

Re: Madejski's comments to BBC Radio Berkshire

I have seen accounts for several years and from memory the loans to the football club ARE interest free and the loans to the hotel are at a rate below bankrate. I think I have a copy somewhere so will try to check and confirm. Sorry got this the wrong way round - the loan to the hotel is interest f...

It'd be daft to get carried away with what we saw today, but it was decent enough.

Agreed, and we played the multiball system again so be prepared for some quick throws and corners.

Re: FREE SCARF! (For Season Ticket Holders Only)

why do folk go on about VAT so much, there is a cost, with or wothout, if it costs £2 per item it makes no difference , they will have a bottom line figure, the vat is only 15% of the total, so on a low priced item is hardly imposrtant Agreed, it's not massively significant on small numbers, but wo...

Re: Coppell Looks For Excuses Already

Maybe they should all just keep quiet and let the team to the talking on the pitch. Whatever is said gets ripped to shreds / misinterpreted anyway so why not just dump the website, stop doing newspaper articles and radio interviews and go back to where we were ten years ago. I'm almost serious - th...

Re: will you renew?

but in my view, anyone who pays bills earlier than they have to is a mug. I guarantee you that RFC wait until the very last moment before paying theirs!! This is a fascinating insight into RoyalBlue. So many of his posts show the absolute contempt he has for the way RFC is run and yet he seems to u...

Re: Convey having his knee treated again

The thing that stood out for me at the end is Convey is still not fully fit and functioning. Do you think that is why he was left in the cold after his impressive performance at Arsenal? It seems to me that ever since we've been in the Premiership Convey has had an injury holding him back in some w...

Re: SHOREY BOOKING

I can't manage chapter and verse on this, but I think you'll find that after that incident (or another similar one) guidance was issued to say that if you deliberately threw the ball at an opponent from a throw-in it would be treated as a free-kick and a yellow card. However, it was also made clear...
