Re: We are going up!

Based on your philosophy....and my own attendances (2001 being an incursion into Wales) Reading should be one lonely team at Wembley  Well having been to those 3 I shan't be there if we make it as I have just realised it is Saturday not Monday because of the World Cup, and I am committed to b...

Re: STAR Prog Notes - Barnsley - Elections

No doubt RL will be up for this Yeah well you're wrong I'm afraid, I don't have the time to spare right now and I'm not in the right frame of mind to do it this time round. Plus the small point that I wouldn't get 10 current STAR members to support my application! But if you read the program...

Re: chronicle article response

There is a letter to the Chronic on the STAR website. Suspect next stage will depend in whether there is an apology to RFC and its supporters or not.

Re: Hooliganism at Reading

Thank you. Just brilliant. Going on this soon http://www.watercressline.co.uk/shopimages/products/2Ratbanner2014.jpg I think I've just died and gone to heaven. Can you pay on the day? I went on it last year - it is right £2 a pint and a choice of 5 I think so it all has to go on the night. Tickets ...

Re: Fantastic end to this season?

What are you lot on. white powder. How the hell can you think of a play off, all this rubbish about winable games, we cant even beat 8 men yeovil. 10 men brighton. etc Be realistic, not this season, look at the rest of the fixtures. no game is winable a draw here and there may get the blood moving ...

Re: Safe-Standing petition

given the large number of people who were standing who were ignored by the stewards, and the fact that they had to wade in deep into the row to pick them out, I think it's most likely they the weren't thrown out for standing. Making gestures towards the away fans seems much more likely. Wrong. I kn...

Re: Safe-Standing petition

“We had the trial set up here at the stadium and we examined it, stood in it and we think it’s great,” he said. Anyone on here involved in that? It was the Football Supporters Federation SS roadshow - so it was just a few rows of seats/rails set up in the car park not a full blown trial needing a c...

Re: The importance of the first goal

Your sample is too small. Come back when you've checked 24 teams. If you insist The average points per game of the team scoring first is 2.2 (all 24) We are in 7th place with 2.52. Wigan are best with 2.81 and Yeovil worst on 1.38 Ipswich seem to buck the trend - 4th in the scored first list but 23...

Re: Watford Match Thread sponsored by 0-0 draws

Nigel says:- "We're really going to enjoy the second half of the season." Here's hoping..................unlike his prediction of Champions and 100 goals. To be fair to Nige that was not a prediction of what we would achieve but an aspiation - a statement that if we did achieve it ...

Re: Back from the game ..... charlton

Also, not sure who was listening to BBC Berks post-match but pretty pathetic from the unidentified player who told Dellor that he was disappointed in the fans. If you're going to have a pop at the fans, at least have the guts to put your name to it. I trust this is ironic on the board where no-one ...

Re: TSI - The Promises, Policies & Progress Thread

I deal with Russians on a daily basis and nothing surprises me about the way they conduct transactions. They are not governed by the same rules as the West.Ilim group are always short of cash. That is the party line. Its a game. This makes sense if the reason for pulling out of the Everton deal was be...

Re: Barnsley - in the car

Just got back to Reading. We were pretty poor to be honest, and Barnsley looked far from relegation material. All in all a draw is fair, we had our moments, but they were few and far between. McCarthy - made a couple of decent saves, but his distribution is woeful....I found myself almost wishing F...

Re: Barnsley Away

Alfie10 Tickets came in the post this morning, says number 5 and 6 on them! Good following as ever,

They are unreserved and so numbers mean nothing - probably 5 and 6 that morning as I got mine at the stadium and they used that was how they entered the number that day.

Re: BFTG - Derby

Sat in the home end, our fans were in fine voice. Had McCarthy to thanks for first half. As others pointed out Guthrie gave the ball away a few times but is the heartbeat of the team. Baird was solid, Obita didn't do anything wrong, Mccleary was menacing down the flanks. For a big lad, Pog rarely w...

....Kebe knows his body better than the medical team. Following an examination, the medic reports to Adkins that Kebe's fit, while Kebe reports back saying he's not fit. Knowing how arrogant medics are, he probably didn't even ask Kebe how the injury felt, jus thought he knew better. You do realise...

Have we ever played a league match in Somerset before? Is there or have been any other league clubs thatn Yeovil in Somerset?! Re: Season tickets 2013/14

It's also selective use of stats, presented in a misleading way - it must be the second best ever for us in the football league at this stage of the sales process . Because in a couple of seasons in the FL, when we looked like we'd go up, sales of STs and half STs later in the season pushed the tot...
