Re: Congratulations

Einstein agogo I can't imagine what cup you could possibly mean

I thought it was common knowledge that West Ham won the 1966 World Cup? Just me trying, and obviously failing, to be amusing

Re: Congratulations

Hammers fans think we're plastic cos we play a song when we score. Plastic or not, I noticed last night Bayern Munich do the same. Haven't they won more World Cups than the Hammers?

Re: 2006 v 2012

2006 team all the way for me, 99 goals and a ridiculous goal difference. Turning up to home games knowing we would destroy teams, and only 1 acquisition saw us finish in 8th place the following year. This season the definition of a 'team', superb defence and counter-attacking. Love the fact Adkins e...

Re: Derby fans - just LOL.

yep Derby fans pretty much optimise what bores me about football fans. The same old songs from all of them. The hugely imaginative "your support is fcuking shit" and "you've never won fcuk all". Fact is they've never won fcuk all in front of most of there current supporters, we'v...

Re: Kitson reception

Royal With Cheese I would have probably have given Kitson a blow job for his contributions to the greatest Reading team I've ever seen.

Ha ha that's a classic, couldn't quite bring myself to +1 that though.
A legend but I agree with others, think we saw the best of him in our promotion team

Re: Confidence Part 2

fair enough if we have to live within our means, but you can't reconcile the sale of Gylfi with Madejski's much quoted claim that "this (Glyffi's) contract underpins our determination to progress in the forthcoming season." A sickening deception as far as I can see, more fool me for believ...

Re: Back from the game....... I really hate geordies

The 106 chant is embarrassing, no-one else gives a toss about the record apart from us, and especially not a team that's already promoted. If one day we get promoted with only 104 points I think I could live with it. Nearly as embarrassing as chanting "you're coming straight back down" min...

considering he was whipping in some tidy crosses, including the one Lita should have put away in the first half, not sure why he was taken off just as we bought Kitson on

Why do people expect us to have infinite levels of cover in all positions? At least Long is a forward (although not a very effective one at this level) Man Utd had to put John O'Shea upfront on Sunday, not to mention Chelsea ending up with SWP at right back and Glen Johnson at centre-back, infact pl...

it might also be worth mentioning we ran ourselves into the ground against Man Utd only 3 days ago, which was always going to effect our second half performance.
But oh yes we embarrassed ourselves losing by one goal to the most expensive team in the land

didn't notice all the tops clubs bidding for Darren Bent in the summer, wasn't he top scoring Englishman in the Premiership. First season is often the easiest, both for club and individual players when you are something of an unknown quantity with everything to prove.

on seeing the first goal on TV it was just a superb finish. Sonko probably expected Henry to take a touch before shooting so stood off him, but he passed it into the net first touch, making it look ridiculously easy in the process

RoyalBlue Chelsea are quite rightly more despised than ManU.

I'd have disagreed up until yesterday.
