Re: Arsenal Match Thread - Sponsored by The Adkins Diet

I think Ledge would make a reasonable centre back, but his passing ability (lack of it) or his ability to retain possession is simply not good enough for a midfielder, especially in the premier league. Game after game after game, he gives the ball away and we have conceded far too many goals after h...

Re: NO LONGER A RUMOUR - Karl Sheppard

Um that list also claims we bought Rasiak from them for 1.5 million  Not much credibility there. crouch for a start with 7 million, not something like the 9.5 listed. "On 25 May 2007, Bale signed a four-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur with Spurs paying an initial £5 million for Bale, pot...

Re: The Lord is Our Sheppard

That is an absolutely ASTOUNDING amount of money for a club to make on transfers. If you could find me any clubs in the football league who come close please let me know, the same clubs who can unbelievable spend more than us still. Southampton ?? How much are they at? Haven't got the time to list ...

Re: BRING. FEDS. BACK. NOW.

I hate knocking players unduly but yet again today instead of catching a free kick or parrying it out he parries it right to the onrushing player, like he's done before, and once again he costs us a goal. Crud! it was an excellent save from the free kick which he pushed wide of the post, the only p...

Weather..

What's the weather like up in Reading today?

Only reason I ask is that down here on the South Coast it has been bucketing it down all morning and we have floods all over the place and don't want to risk driving up for the game to be postponed?

Ta...

Re: Irrational likes/dislikes

Absolutely loathed Stephen Hunt, in fact I still do... bumped into Doyle and him at the golf driving range over in Caversham about a month or so after we signed Doyle, and he was giving it the "big I am" boasting about not having to pay for his flash golf clubs cos a sponsor gave them to h...

Re: Your Top 3 RFC Games Seen, EVER

For pure memorability.. 16/05/01 - Reading 2-1 Wigan 4 minutes to go, 1-0 down to probably the best defence in the division, Curo's penalty saved, Forster scoring the winner in the last minute, chap from 3 rows back comes sailing over the top of us, the best atmosphere in the Mad Stad to date... 20/...

Re: Portsmouth Admin

They have also rejected a £3M bid for Marc Wilson from West Brom. Shame that; some of the cash raised could have gone to pay the St John's Ambulance Brigade. Could the courts or any other entity start to force them to accept offers for their assets as I believe this isn't the first time they have t...

Re: Portsmouth Admin

Where would the money have come from to build the new stadium? It was mandaric at the time and the council were going to share it, so it was meant to be self financing. It didnt happen though, but never mind. Over 100 years old Fratton Park and boy does it look it. I don't think any major new stadi...

Re: Portsmouth Admin

The only thing Reading currently have better is a stadium and that is because its new and Fratton Park is old. Fratton Park is better than Elm Park was, any new Pompey ground will be better and bigger than Readings. sorry, only? stadium, training ground, academy.. oh and financial position? So, in ...

Re: Back from the Game - Coventry City

Loved this comment from a Cov fan on f365 forum; Can I also add: a) Since when did Jay Tabb become a really good central midfielder? b) Since when did Jimmy Kebe become the Cristiano Ronaldo of the CCC? c) Since when did Jobi McAnuff become the Lionel Messi of the CCC? Answer Since they came up agai...

If you can't find them on itunes (and they should be there) then they are available from http://www.footballfancast.com iTunes for me is showing a gap between 47 and 54 and I was hoping to catch Ady Williams's first bit on 53. On http://www.footballfancast.com when I click onto download that's when...

It's good to be looking up and working out how to catch the teams above us instead of looking down and worrying about how to get away from those below us..

Re: Muppets booing heskey

Bloody hell, do you honestly believe that this is a phenomenon restricted to just Reading fans?

Go to many grounds around the country and you will see players abused for many reasons, sometimes undertsandably so, sometimes completely irrationally.

Get over yourself...
