Re: another, thants right another embargo for late PAYE payments - a new embargo

The cash from 2 / 3 home games a month and the odd televised game isn’t going to be more than initial transfer fees + ST payments we should have taken in over the last month though is it... We're going to sell, what, 3k - 5k tickets a game max... monthly matchday revenue isn’t going to be more than...

Re: MATCHWATCH : QPR

Good write-up, thanks. Interested to know what you think we're not a million miles off; a push for the play-offs, top 10, comfortably mid-table, etc? Tough to say as obviously it's difficult for us to have a barometer on exactly how strong League One would be, but I thought we matched a lower-mid t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : QPR

I was mostly encouraged by it tbh, though there were a couple of areas for concern. Let's start with the good: - I liked the way we were setup, which was particularly evident in the 2nd 30 minute segment, where at times we played some excellent stuff, with the two CMs getting plenty of touches and s...

Sutekh Let's see if we can get through the next 24 hours with nobody posting any more on any manager speculation unless it is absolute fact backed up with media sources.

Re: BFTG Wednesday

Obviously we should have had a minimum of 2 pens last night, and if we score one of those it's a different game and we're to pick them off on the counter to win be 2 or 3. However ignoring that for a moment, I was quite disappointed with out second half performance, especially after we'd looked so g...

Re: BFT Watford

Ian I know you're not keen to give Pauno too much credit, but I think there's a noticeable difference in the set up of the team as well. The pressing is organised, the formation is disciplined, and there's clearly been a lot of work on set pieces as we look a constant threat from some clear trainin...

Re: BFT Watford

Thing I liked best is it wasn’t backs to the wall defending as it would have been under Bowen. We continued to look to play and score and at a guess probably had as many attempts on goal as Watford in the 2nd half Correct, 4-4. I think the difference is this side is playing really well, so can get ...

genome Let's see if anyone's negative about that.

It wasn't a good performance.

But that's exactly what a winning team does.

Wtf is this shit? It was an excellent performance from a team missing at least 4 'key' men against a team full of premier league talent

Re: Season 20/21

Have to say I thought Holsgrove looked decidedly average from what we saw in pre-season, so I'm not sure I understand the hand-wringing He might have been a useful squad player if we'd gone down the direction it looked like we were a few weeks ago, but if they're trying to build a team capable of pr...

Re: Season 20/21

Never read the Telegraph, never will. Personal choice. I’d take David Conway from the Guardian 10x over than anyone from the other paper. David Conn? yeah he is good, but not really one for transfer rumours Telegraph sports is decent enough. Better than the guardians imo Yes, that’s who I meant. I ...

Re: Season 20/21

We didn't go down, I consider that a success. I agree with your assessment that we wouldn't really progress up the league with Bowen though, we would have been steadily midtable which again could be considered a success if you take our finances into consideration. I think with the squad we had last...

Re: Season 20/21

While it seems ridiculous to me that this is all going on now, 2 weeks ahead of the start of the new season, I'm not sure I share the outrage of others at the idea of moving Bowen into a different role. He was hardly a roaring success last season, and if it's true that we are 'going for broke' this...

October till before yesterday had us showing fourth. 30+ games. Pretty good benchmark in my book.

You genuinely believe that we've been playing like the 4th best team in the league?

Okay..

Re: BFI Follow Middlesborough

It was awful - but we’ve just come off the back of 3 clean sheets. There’s a vast improvement in this side to 12 months ago, whatever way you wish to look at it. There really isn't. A few plucky, defensive, ground out wins does not change the fact that there's absolutely no pattern, tempo, or excit...

Forbury Lion Personally, I wonder if ifollow will cope at their end with the sudden increase in users during lockdown

Yep. They'll need to have invested significantly in additional servers etc to be able to cope with the increased traffic otherwise it's going to be a bit of a shambles.
