Re: The high's and lows of being a Reading fan......

30-year Sentence for me so far. Highs: 85-86 was too young to realise we played horrible hoofball football but loved the fact we won everyweek. Simod Cup - when i was younger my old man had resingned himself to never see Reading at Wembley. Glad he got to see us there twice. We were terrible that se...

All the high-earning, under-performing, preening, tempramental pr*cks leaving the club. Goodbye Drenthe, I look forward to you Instagramming pictures of your boots and your homies in your own little clique at whatever club you end up next on your journey from Real Madrid to Ryman League, you fat wa...

Re: Wolves - You've Let us down again

I see Wolves have sold 8800 for their trip to MK Dons.

They were aiming for 10000. (10K2MK Fans Campaign)

However this was scuppered by H&S issues.

Still, that's a mammouth away following.

Re: Get Readings 11 RFC Hardmen

RE: Sonko - He played on for 10 minutes having done his cruciate ligament in. Hard, foolish, ultimately ruined his career. Tony Witter played for over 30 minutes with a broken leg but he was just a loanee . What about Bob Hazell?. Despite what Wikipedia seems to say though, I'm sure he was just on ...

Re: Old Reading Footage on VHS/film/Youtube

A few FA Cup gems from the late 80's/early 90's:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1D3Ta00QjQc - Clive Walker's equaliser for Cheltenham at Elm Park 1998. Anyone remember the (re-arranged) away game of this tie? Clive Walker getting plenty of abuse from the away fans "FLASHER! FLASHER! FLASHER!&...

Re: Open Letter to Nick(y) Hammond

Dear Nick ( or can I call you Nicky ?) Given the popular opinion that a takeover has been agreed and new finance is coming (at least in principle), the usual Reading FC transfer window excuses will not wash this time. Trotting out the usual lines such as having a list of targets but time running ou...

Re: Big name on their way out?

Royalcop
SPARTA I wouldn't class Alf or McAnuff as a 'big' player tbf. It says a lot about this team when I genuinely couldn't care less which player it is. Been a long time since I felt like that.

This, not bothered about any of the current squad leaving; don't feel a connection with any of them.

Bury at home in the Cup after 30 minutes 2-0 down. It pi**sed down the game should never have started. A bloke I know from Bury had come down for this. His mate's car had the windows put through down the Oxford Road soemwhere whilst the game went on.. they got soaked in the ground, then got back to...

Peter Bonetti - did he play in a testimonial in the 80's? Maybe Martin Hicks or Chalky White?
