You have to wonder why they can't do the same for those rugby pitch lines. And does the grass grow fast enough for them to be able to mow the area, where the advert will be, regularly? It would appear so, they so mow the grass pretty much daily at football stadiums. The lines are painted on so whil...

Reads to me that they've kind of got it the wrong way round and it's roughly 10% of capacity available on a game by game basis. The other 90% of tickets being taken up by STH, away, comps etc.

Good point - I'd forgotten about that, although I would say there are rather less than 500. It could be argued that they are pseudo-STH, as well. Oh, no doubt less than 500. GG and programme sellers probably number 20-30 max I would say. Ticket office staff? Do they still do the door to door scratc...

Are those additional 500 seats for staff etc? For example, I know Golden Gamble sellers can get in to games for £10 this season so they will need seats put by.

I am not a Sidwell groupie. As I have said already, if he goes he goes, if he stays he stays - I even said lets sell him if a replacement is found first. Yes he has made mistakes and yes some of the comments made this summer haven't been in the best taste. You'd think he was the first person ever to...

or let him rot in the reserves. Please explain the benefits to RFC of that course of action. There are none, but more importantly, he doesn't benefit. on the other hand, what benefits do RFC get out of playing a player that doesn't want to be here etc? Do you really, really think that a professiona...

Indeed but perhaps more importantly, have Feyenoord actually flown over yet?

Seriously people can we stop this now. Sidwell is staying for the forseeable future and has done nothing wrong in the whole scheme of things. He will be pulling on our shirt in 10 days time and playing for our club. Nothing else is important. Thank you, Mrs Sidwell, your views have been noted. Mean...

Also is it really a problem? In all reality is Sidwell in any different a situation than Oster, Makin and Hunt were in last year. One year left on their deal and knowing he could leave next year for nothing. The only difference is that we've offered Sidwell a deal that he could still take. That's t...

I'm sorry but selling someone now and hoping to get an adequate replacement in the next three weeks is stupid. If we buy someone first then, yes, fine, lets sell. Doing it the other way round is asking for trouble. If we don't get an adequate replacement then we are stuck with Harper/Gunna as our on...

Wycombe Royal
Stranded It was Gordon Neate IIRC. Not sure what year, pretty sure it was late 70s/early 80s though.

I would have said it was late 80's or early 90's.

You could well be right, I know the story but am unsure on the year.

I don't have a problem with Sidwell, it's the club decision to keep him that riles me. Clearly, he is thinking about moving on and therefore, that will be at the back of his mind. I don't think we'll see the best of Sidwell this season, at the end of which, he'll probably be on his way for nothing....

Fair enough. I don't think Sidwell will mention anything about a move again unless it is instigated from elsewhere. He can't control his agent and we all know what twunts they can be so just ignore any spouting from him, I do. Everybody needs to move on from this now and forget this saga as it has r...

I called Goater a desperation signing, in that at the time Reading had to buy a striker. I never criticised Goater while he was at Reading, as thought that he did ok but that he didnt fit into the team and style of play. Murray for all his problems of not settling in etc was obviously not up to the...

loyalty points have been updated, but I still don't trust them. heard nothing else, not a phone call or a letter or a text. That's why I'm going for the plaque on the seat - just to further reassure me about the renewal. Still might find 2 plaques on some seats I expect on the 19th! I'm half expect...

Too often players are bought in acts of desperation eg Murray and Goater. Murray and Goater weren't bought in desperation. Surely you can think of a better example. Such as the magnificent seven. I disagree, I think it was desperation as were Keown and Ferdinand. How was Murray desperation when he'...
