Why are you all complaining??? £16 to watch a top European side sounds a bargain to me. Wow its a friendly, big deal... I couldn't care less who we are playing. I would never pay £16 for what is a glorified training session. The players won't be at it full pelt as they won't want to get injured and...

YorkshireRoyal THAT miss against Birmingham's reserves in the FA Cup replay says it all. Not good enough.

So on that basis, you'll be putting £100 on Steven Hunt to finish top scorer in the Prem next year based on his goal in the same game?

Who would you drop for Seol? Little or Convey? And do you see Hunt or Oster pushing there way into the first team? Who says he's an automatic first choice? He may start on the bench, all depends on how the players look in pre-season. Agreed. I'd be very suprised if he's been brought in as an automa...

Good signing if we can tie it up. Would hope that's a formality given it's on the official site. Very rare than we announce something without it nearly being a done deal.

Re: Rumour ... John Mensah

Dennis the Butler Did see on teletext today that Fulham have his signing "in the bag" Hope that isn't the case but if so, I for one will be getting decidedly nervous !

Was that on one of those call an 0891 number for more details pages?

southbank1871 No, the Sales Centre really are a joke, haven't heard a thing!

southbank1871 If we end up having to play Long in our first team next season, we'll be in a lot of trouble IMO

Only because he is likely to be 4th choice striker. So if starts it means that two of Lita, Doyle and Kitson are injured/suspended.

He has been able to take his time in Chamionship games, but in all games last season against Premiership opposition he was found wanting. Especially at Highbury where the defenders seemed to close him down easily. He had his chances at Highbury, just couldn't take them! Kitson is one of those playe...

You have to remember he'd only just come back from injury in that Arsenal game so probably not a fair performance to analysis him on.

I think a lot of people have concerns over whether Kitson, of all our strikers, can make the step up. To be honest, I'm really not certain and as it would appear that Lita is going to be fit, I can see Doyle and Lita starting the season with Kits on the bench. He could prove to be a good impact play...

If we really are prepared to spend £4m on a defender, how about doubling our options and making a similar bid for Curtis Davies? West Brom have resisted the temptation to sell so far but £4m is a lot of money. Sadly he is coveted by bigger clubs than us. All an accepted bid from us would do would a...

It's always been known that we set a budget each year but if the right player is available at the right price we will still go get them. I do not expect that to be different this year.

I may be wrong but the opposition for a home friendly cannot be from a lower league so it seems to me it has to be a foreign team (and as the SPL is from a different country don't Rangers and Celtic qualify as foreign?). Is this really true? I can't see how or why this would be a Premiership ruling...

At least with the 5.15 kick offs, you can get in to the pub for 3pm, watch Soccer Saturday and the other scores come in before taking your seat ready for the match.
