Re: Opposition fans back from the game - 24/25 page 225 onwards

Chelsea had more than their fair share of Home County Himmlers in the early 80s watching them.

Re: Elm Park vs SCL - Two Magic Wishes - Meaningless Mindgame Fun

I’m in my mid 50s so I’ve spent roughly an equal time at both grounds and personally I’m happy with the Madejski. Too much misty eyed nostalgia happens with Elm Park, it was a Victorian era ground with few upgrades in 100 years. You wouldn’t even have fitted Saturday’s crowd in there. The only wish ...

Re: Bolton (A)

Currently working and living up north, so in X2. Wonder how many we will take surely won't get near the 1300 we took there last season as that was with 10 quid tickets. £28 definitely a rip off at this level but I've got a short commute. Another win for us vs Orient and I'll be very confident of ge...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (a)

Forgot to say that as I haven’t got a Reading season ticket any more, I was in the temporary Kop stand behind the goal. What was the Fan Zone area? Do you have to pay extra to go in there and can you watch the game from it if you can’t get a seat? There are a few “day trippers” in that Kop stand fro...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (a)

Saturday was Wrexham’s highest league attendance in 44 years so they are definitely riding the crest of a wave at the moment and could easily sell more tickets if the ground had a bigger capacity. What their ceiling would be in terms of support and league status, I would say they could ride the wave...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (a)

I’ve got really high hopes for Andre Garcia, he looks a really exciting prospect to me. I’d be gutted if he gets snapped up for peanuts and bunged in someone’s reserve side before we get to see him play for us for a few years.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (a)

Philly Flyer Bit surprised to see Wrexham has not sold out to home supporters, according to the ticketing section of their official website.

Cheers for that! I live locally and was really annoyed I couldn’t get a ticket but I’ve managed to get a couple in the home end, At least we’re in!

Re: Rumour: Azeez to Millwall

Couhig is a vastly experienced lawyer. You’d think he has all the angles covered. Like Bearwood? Apologies couldn’t help myself! I suspect the departure of Azeez was known about at the end of last season, given what looked like his emotional fair well after the Blackpool home game. I suspect he wou...

Sky Sports as frustrating as the match. Who is the commentator with verbal diarrhoea? It is okay to not speak for three seconds, you don’t need to prove you’ve done your homework at every available opportunity.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (a)

Definitely the best time to play them and they looked disjointed and will need time to gel as a team with so many new players. They probably don’t know their best team yet. They also looked like the weight of expectation is weighing heavy with the number of passes that were over hit and just went ou...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (a)

What a whopper Alfie May is though. Finally gets a move to a big club (Charlton don’t count) at the age of 31 after years of scuffing around non-league and the lower leagues and looking forward to a season where he thought he could be a flat-track bully and he needs a penalty to emerge from 19 year ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT YET* CONFIMRED

Totally… I welcome the new Glasnost era after the last 12 years of absent owners. An owner who is in regular communication with the supporters will be brilliant, even if they don’t have a pot to piss in so long as they are up front and honest with us.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Couhig taking us over does not sit well with their fans on their forum. Most seem to think he is the "figurehead" of a consortium as he doesn't have the money himself. Might be sour grapes though as many see it as slight on them with Couhig selling them and buying us. I think Wycombe fans...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

We've had good experiences before when owned by someone called Robert, given that John Madejski's birth name was Robert Hurst... Robert Maxwell? Don’t think he ever got to be the owner Part owner, he owned 19% of the shares in RFC prior to wanting to buy Waller’s shares to complete a takeover. Maxw...

Re: New Kits 2019/20

Sutekh Can't recall Liverpool ever having a blue away kit, I presume Utd fans are OK with it as long as it isn't light blue.

1968 European Cup final and all that, they love a bit of Royal Blue! Looks a bit like an old England cricket shirt though, 3rd shirt is decent enough.

Re: The generic transfer thread

I’m surprised no-one has mentioned yet that Oxford have signed Sheffield Wednesday’s player of the season, Will Vaulks, on a free transfer too. Seems to have created quite a jizzfest in Oxfordshire. Isn't that the big geezer with the extra long throw in? He's annoying for that, but nothing scary ot...
