Re: Barnsley Match thread sponsored by Mick McCarthy

I hate results like this, they just leave you numb and wondering why you actually give a damn about the club. The team we've taken 6 points from without conceding a goal just went up, the team in second we destroyed at their place. Yet the team we took 1 point from 6 is down and about to be joined ...

Re: Furthest you've travelled to watch RFC

Ark - I didn't bunk off school for the Blyth replay with my Mum's approval - I just went anyway as school was on the Tilehurst Rd I do 5 or 6 matches home or away each season - and each one is a c. 7,000 mile roundtrip..... but I used to be a STH when living in Leeds/Keighley/Bradford.... full marks...

Re: Sheff U at home is now MASSIVE

I'll be controversial - seeing as I have a prediliction for it now and have a new best buddy in Fine Rain - win both Blades and Bluenose and avoid defeat in the others and we are up.

I've given up on Cardiff who were my e/w for an auto.

Do I give a oxf*rd what you think? Errr, no, quite frankly. Especially if you haven't done Iraq, Afghanistan and Bosnia.

Re: Dave Kitson.......Regrets, I've had a few.....

Absolutely delighted the most intelligent, articulate and hard working big head ever to play for RFC is back. I expect a 442 with Harps, Glenda and Kits all starting. Harps playing in front of back 4, Marek creating and Kits dropping off Long and coming deeper. Doyler on the bench. Would love to see...

Plymouth Argyle MATCH THREAD sponsored by Andy Rogers and Mi

I just wanted to be the first to start a match thread for once (look at me :-O ) and pay respect to a winger we got from Devon who was very under-rated and even swallowed his tongue for RFC...

Indeed I do - the clown is a liability. So wasteful, never gets to the byline, quality of crossing is shoite.... and he couldn't hit the proverbial with a banjo. All his taking men on, "silky skills" - what a waste..... shameful. In that case I am appalled that you utilise the name of one...

Re: Back from the Bristol City Game

No,I wasn't there but five - or is it six? - without a goal says everything. The only bright spot is the Bluenosers being as bad as us. I still think we'll go up as runners-up to Cardiff coz we can't be this shoite for the rest of the season. Now will people believe that Kebe is total self abuse... ...

Re: What's the most obscure Reading match you have been to?

Real fans went to the Swansea vs Reading league match in the mid nineties on a Friday night. Severn bridge closed and only about 50 of us made it for the first half. Thank god Uwe Hartenberger equalised in the dying seconds to make it worthwhile!! Not really obscure because it was a competitive lea...

Re: What's the most obscure Reading match you have been to?

RwC - Barnet in the Auto Daf Leyland Windscreen: I was there with a couple of mates. Foggy memory but thought there were more than 50 Hoops there. Lux - yup, the old marked out car park at the back of the Town End. Done that, too... Obscure - bunking off school to watch the Blyth Spartan FA cup repl...

The 17 Bus Was at Brentford for that last minute goal from Stuckey, will also have been on the pitch after Crewe.

Ditto....

The Lincoln and Brentford games around Easter were special, too....
