Re: The dreaded vote of confidence

Madejski has taken us as far as we wants to. Time for him to go before other clubs overtake us. Steve Coppell remains a good manager and we don't know to what extent his hands have been tied, but I doubt the likes of Hammond of Madeksji have helped him much recently. We should be thankful for where ...

Re: 2:30 PM PRESS CONFERENCE REGARDING COPPELL'S FUTURE

Can I piss myself when it turns out I'm right, or is that just as sad? Your prediction is hardly putting yourself on the line, its just the manner you've gone about blasting it out which would make it funny if you're wrong. Disagree, byt being so assertive in his opinion does quite the opposite IMO...

Re: 2:30 PM PRESS CONFERENCE REGARDING COPPELL'S FUTURE

Are RFC fans naturally nervous. Reading snippets into the BBC website... Of course Hammond was talking about Relegation!!! Why can't people see that this is just a Press Conference to confirm that he's staying? LOL@ you going out to convince people of your opinion. Three posts, all saying the same ...

Re: Reading second favourites to win league

The odds ill change through the close season, and wil dependant on who is the manager and which players come and go. Any high profile players are bound to have an affect on what the bookies think....whether they actaully have an impact on our chances is another thing entirely.

Re: 2:30 PM PRESS CONFERENCE REGARDING COPPELL'S FUTURE

Why would you have a press conference to say he's retired from RFC. It's the most obvious thing ever that he's staying. Well, I could see the club giving him a press conference to thank his properly for all he has done for the club. The club pride themsleves in doing this the right way, and a publi...

Re: RUMOUR - Doyle to Aston Villa £4 million

http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,1802_3585574,00.html seems he is happy here though If Villa want him, I am sure he will want to go. He had a dodgy seaosn to say to the least so he is probably not sure of how interested Premiership clubs will be in him as his stock has seriously decre...

Re: Speculation: A Busy Summer

We didn't spend money in the Premiership, so we won't in the Championship. Expect a summer of watching our better players depart and other clubs picking up players we would like, much to the fristration of the fans., and then a few rucsed cheap and cheerful signings by the club We will probably sing...

Re: Cisse

Cisse, despite one good game at Centre Back, did nothing of any note last season. Sometimes players need time to adapt bith on and off the pitch, and he will get more games in the Championship, so I am certain he will have more of an impact next season, although thats not really saying much. Hopeful...

Sorry boys and girls, but SC is defo leaving the club, 100%

Whether that is now of next season I don't know, but certainly in the next 100 years, he will leave the club.

Re: We are just not good enough.....

papereyes
Not sure about that when he was at Wigan after their first season but at that point, we'd only just been promoted.

Jimmy Bullard was a bosman signing so I would imagine he would be on at least £35K a week at Fulham. We are still a long way off the first Reading player on that sort of money.

Re: We are just not good enough.....

I think missing out on Bullard was a big shame. Would have been an ideal replacement for Sidders, would give heart and soul for every match, and I don't think he would've commanded the biggest wages in the world. Other than the fact he was crippled until about February, I would heartily agree with ...

Re: Who Will Go Down - Last 4 matches.

I voted for Fulham and Reading. Seems I am like many here who can;t see who managing to escape the drop. Shame, but thats football. If we do go down, then I will have enjoyed every minute of it, although I worry how long it will be before we return to the top tier of English football. Can't see the ...

Re: Lets Get Real !!!

Reading are capable of establishing themselves in the premiership. If the likes of Bolton, Portsmouth, Wigan, Sunderland, Middlesborough can do it then why not Reading ? The fan base is there but can we expect to see significant funding from the board to ensure it happens? If this club goes down it...
