Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

His claim is way more complicated than that. While it does include lost time and money invested into the takeover, plus damages for breaching exclusivity, it's more than a bit basic to interpret “lost profits” as “taking a monthly income”. It’s his argument that the deal was terminated unjustly, an...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

You can keep saying this, but it doesn't make it any more true. Which part isn't true? The sum of £12 million is widely reported. It may vary a bit, but it's in that region. Why is he claiming that sum in his court case? Because that's what he says he has lost out on by not buying the club. It's no...

Shame about the goal difference and Bolton last minute winner.

But 1st defeat in 12 is ok.

But when i recently positioned my car keys right where the boot closes, thus squishing down the door lock button with all doors closed and boot closed, a locksmith could be summoned from my smartphone googl...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (a)

We actually won 2-0 up there in the FA cup not so long ago, but I appreciate you`re talking about the league, James Earnshaw commented that we`ve not won there since 94. probably our first play-off season. Well, that's wrong as well - we won 2-0 there first game of the 01/02 season. Lost my car key...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

Being in the play offs is an *interesting development for Couhig. His claim of loss of profits as a result of club breaching exclusivity is extremely flimsy in a world in which Reading are in mid table destined for another season in League 1. His claim is not flimsy at all if Reading get promoted, h...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

I suspect the club will have the right of appeal to an independent body for any suspension/expulsion decision. Don't forget the last time the EFL tried to disqualify Dai an independent panel denied it, so it appears to be a very high bar. Frankly I think as long as the club can demonstrate they are...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

The update from STAR following their discussion with the club on the financials said that the money from Smith had covered wages until the end of Feb. The figure banded around for Bindon was £700k so that won't go far. Platek has supposedly said he will cover shortfalls if the Couhig issue is sorte...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

STAR meeting summary reports that Reading's monthly wage commitment nets out at around £1M a month (+/- with win bonuses) That's ~ £12M a year. Other commitments ~£320k a month Outgoings = £15.84M They also reported that income (excluding player sales) to end of December (presumably April-Dec) was ...

Seems weird to sign Carroll last month if we have no money this month. Not sure I believe things are so bad as all that I agree The update from STAR following their discussion with the club on the financials said that the money from Smith had covered wages until the end of Feb. The figure banded ar...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

STAR'S update suggests suspension could well be on the cards, but very little discussion of when that turns into expulsion. We could be suspended for the remainder of the season, forfeit all our matches and still finish 17th. Then the loss of match income brings about insolvency at which point Couh...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

The judge last Friday couldnt "throw out" Couhig's claim, because the hearing last week wasn't about Couhig's claim. It was about Dai trying to get rid of the security placed over his own assets. A judge can't just throw out any case in the entire legal system because he is a judge. He can...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

The women's accounts were also published. The company was wound up, and there seems to be some sort of adjustment to do that. So I've wondered if thats part of the inter-company transfer on the men's accounts. That's the £8 million inter co provision in the RFC accounts. As the loan has been writte...

Thank you. So basically, bit on bold quite important? Yeh. The accounts while quite helpful, dont explain it all. On the face of the accounts there is: 18m of revenue. 7.6m profit on sale of investments (No idea what this was, a company or something) 1.6m profit on sale of players. (24m) in salaries. (4.8m) in amortisation This is transfer fees (8m) intercompany loan provision. Don't know what this is, not muc...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

rabidbee Re sale of the investments... Didn't the club sell the stadium to another Dai company in an effort to reduce losses for FFP (only to be told it didn't count)?

You can only sell it once? That sale was accounted for a few years ago now if i recall correctly.

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

What were we spending the other ~£15m quid on!? Stadium depreciation and Training Ground depreciation. Amortisation of transfer fees. Agents fees. Interest on loans to Dai. What transfer fees, we hadn't paid any for years. Transfer fees are accounted for over the life of the players contract. We've...
