Re: Steve Mautone, here on loan!

He was better than that buck toothed tracksuit wearing woofter of a goalie we had anyway.

Re: Man City will win the Premiership within 5 years...

Papers today claim that Man City are prepared to buy the very best players and offer up to £500,000 a week in wages to get them.

In a game where money talks, City will leave everyone in their wake.

Real, Barca, Chelsea, United, Milan...they can't compete with that.

Re: What happened to Lita??? The Inquest

Who cares?

He's a Reading player until January at the very least and he now needs to get his head down both to get a game here and to earn a move elsewhere if that's what he's after. Either way, he needs goals.

Re: The non-league thread 2008/9

Been to the Kassam twice and trouble on both occasions. Love it there though because you can make some serious noise in that stand, and "Oxford United...are shit" always comes across even louder. Love it. Last time we were there I'd just left that little pub right by the ground and then it...

Re: The non-league thread 2008/9

.... Or maybe they've still got a few of those 'portable shed-like' one's in storage from their time at the Manor Ground? 8) .....they had about eight stands in those days! They did indeed, 7 I think it was. (3 down one side, one behind the goal - their noisy end, one down the other side, one in th...

Re: The non-league thread 2008/9

Readingfanman If Oxford got relegated / Maiders got promoted this year. It will make a heck of a good away trip next season.

If Oxford got relegated it would be the LOL of the century.

Re: Who will we sign in January ?

I think it is much more to the point of who we are going to SELL. For the first time since 1995 we are now officially (by our Summer record) a selling club,a bit like other ex-Prem clubs like Norwich,Ipswich,Southampton but not like Birmingham,Sheff Utd and Wolves who all seem determined to get bac...

could you furnish me with a source?

What Platypuss said plus while we were in the Championship he was jibbering on about selling to someone that would take us forward, and all that billionaire nonsense.

We can but dream.

RFCBoy Is Alex Pearce the answer to our centre back problem?

Yes, but considering we have Bikey and Dubes also, I wouldn't think a problem exists at centre back.

Re: Hunt dissapointed

Stephen Hunt says he will be in the Premier League "with or without" Reading next season to ensure he stays in the Republic of Ireland fold. What an utter cock. Like being in the Championship has held back Republic of Ireland players before. At least we know he's off next summer anyway. :...

Toadie I just can't wait for the next transfer window!

LOL @ City fans 're-naming' their ground "Middle Eastlands".

 Genius

Almost as funny as the second biggest club in Manchester calling their ground The Theatre of Dreams.

Re: Bryn Back

Apparently Gunnar is close to a return. I'm actually more concerned than pleased., especially given his form last year. He has lost his pace, and is no longer the player he was before, and I am worried he may stint the development of Karacan, and maybe even get in the team ahead of Marek. Anyone el...

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

I didn't say we were paying for it. I meant that the fact we are attractind around 5000 less people to that 'area' most weeks, it's useage is greatly reduced and therefore less of a priority now. But what difference does that make to the Pru? As I said they would rather football fans werre banned f...
