Re: Man City will win the Premiership within 5 years...

sheshnu They'll all change their tune when the Sheikh makes his January signings.

Exactly. In 2 years time when they're pushing United and Chelsea for a European Cup, they'll be so proud. Stupid Brazillians - cracking totty mind.

Re: Who's more nervous about the siddy takeover?

I don't know where you get this financial restraints thing with Arsenal, the only debt they have is the new ground and that is not a problem for them. It's not a problem for them as long as they continue to recieve Champions League football payments and fill the place weekly. They're isn't much roo...

Re: Who's more nervous about the siddy takeover?

Both clubs are in a very similar state. Arsenal's is really poop with the financial restraints they have and will have for a good few years to come. I think for that reason it's going to be Arsenal that suffer the most. Give it 2 years though. Wenger can't be far off a new challenge either, and then...

Murts is playing at Centre back for the reserves this evening. I dont know if we should read into that.

I wouldn't. He's to short and slow for holding down that position in the fizzy pop. God no!

Re: MURTY BACK IN THE TEAM?

I was thinking Murty would be back in the starting 11 for sure. But with Sonks gone & AP's play on Saturday; not so sure. I Don't like a player losing a spot to injury but I think the back four are playing well. They look good in defense and solid pushing forward. I like what Rosenoir can do on...

Re: Man City will win the Premiership within 5 years...

That is the whole point though, Citeh are in a position to now test the mettle of teams like Utd and Real Madrid. Citeh put in a bid in January, force Madrid's hand in also bidding Utd then have to make a decision on whether Ronaldo can go. Player gets the hump etc etc. Berbatov has already stated ...

Re: Man City will win the Premiership within 5 years...

All the money in the world can't make Ronaldo sign though. He wants Real Madrid and United may well spite City and take the £90m rumoured to be on offer from Real.

Re: Waitrose logo

MR. CYNICAL Dont know if this has been noticed or commented on here by anyone else but wondered why the waitrose logo does not appear on the training shirts on sale in the club shop yet the training shirts worn by the players and coaches do.

I'm not sure why but I am glad. I'm more inclined to buy one now.

  http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_4086955,00.html "Real Madrid were estimating his value at $160million (£90m) but for a player like that, to actually get him, will cost a lot more; I would think $240million (£135m). But why not? We are going to be the biggest club in ...

Re: Hunt dissapointed

He's a stupid long haired rambo wannabe.. Another excuse for a quality player when really all he does is run around with passion and energy... Again his performances so far this year are proving me wrong (see crossing camp comment), but overall he is a joke of a footballe r. Better than Andy Hughes...

Re: Hunt dissapointed

"I spoke to the manager (Steve Coppell), the director of football (Nick Hammond), the coaches. They were asking if I wanted to leave, and they knew my stance," explained Hunt. "I haven't been a bad apple in the club over the last two or three years. "I could have been, but I wasn...

Re: MURTY BACK IN THE TEAM?

Nobody deserves their place back in the team through status or reputation. He will have to wait for Rosenior to drop his performances like everybody else.

Re: Relief as the window closes and the clouds clear

Some good prices obtained for players but the fact that we spent only about 10% of the money we received demonstrates the loss of ambition at this club. Rubbish, people need to be a bit more realistic on here. We have a very very good squad for this division and we have cover in every position. Yea...

Stranded It would have to be somebody prepared to work within financial constraints laid down by a chairman looking to run the club as a business...mmmmm....

Nooooooooooo, take Nicky Hammond, he's amazing, he's good with numbers, he wears tracksuit bottoms to bed and everyfink.

Re: Keegan leaving Newcastle

I guess it's Shearer's ship now, his command. He's in charge, he's the boss, head man, top dog, big cheese. Lets face it...the Newcaslte fans won't be happy until Shearer is in charge. Thing is Shearer will probably never take the job as he knows that if he f**ked it up he would lose his legend sta...

Re: Home Attendance Watch

T.R.O.L.I. Not sure we'll get that many - we normally struggle to get anywhere near a sell out for midweek games. I'll go for 16,500.

Probably a lot closer. How are Wednesday doing so far? I've been pretty ignorant to the rest of the league so far, only paying attention to what we're doing.

Wednesday ticket bought. Tooooo close to JB for this one.

Can't imagine they'll bring many down...say 1000?

More likely an 18,500 for this one I think.

Re: Keegan leaving Newcastle

Stranded I'm pretty sure Ashley isn't a Newcastle fan.

Oh. I thought he was the 'Newcastle' fan that was linked to buying them a good few years ago but it didn't happen, then obviously he came in and bought them, but not so it seems.
