Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Why are people so fixated on the distance between the Wycombe ground and Bearwood? Football players do not live at the stadium. For a number of them, it may be an easier commute to get to Bearwood than their current training ground and on matchdays players tend to make their own way to the stadium ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

No. Of course they will Well, they may not expel us at that point but if there is doubt about us as a going concern they will want to avoid the situation they had with Bury where they had to suspend their first 6 games as they didn't want them playing any games until proof was given that cre...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

My immediate reaction to the EFL statement was that they have set RFC up to go bust the day after the season ends so as not to mess up their precious competition ! All newly threatened fines to the owner rack up as of April 2 assuming he doesn’t pay anything by Mar 18. At that point they bar him and...

Re: How early have you taken your children to a game and it be ok?

Started taking my two lads when they were 4 and they are now both proper fans who travel the country following the team. In the early days it was best to get there close to kick off so there was no time for boredom but they were both fully into the football in no time at all.

Re: Confrimed - Abbey and Holmes going

McIntyre has released his goodbye message on Instagram and Twitter. I stay on social media to keep up to date, but I must say I hate the football fans on there. Calling him Judas etc., when he's been a servant in our toughest times and has secured an excellent move for his career while he is a new ...

Re: Portsmouth (A)

I believe they are safe standing seats rather than unavailable. A number of people, me included, are waiting for more central blocks to go on sale. Seems a bit odd putting the worst seats on sale first for those with most points but shouldn’t be an issue with 2,000 tickets available.

Going on the pitch tomorrow would be a worse own goal than the Mbengue debacle at Cheltenham. Taking the historic Blackpool pitch invasion punishment as a benchmark the points deductions that would follow makes relegation a very likely outcome and further lost cashflow from abandonment and subsequen...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

The other problem with a boycott is that a lack of money in will just hurt the staff for more missed payments, points deductions for us, maybe more redundancies, and might cause a successful winding up order. I suspect this is what the club statement is referring to with regard to impact on staff. ...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

No, because the Independent Commission decide sanctions. And even if they do, he can just ignore them. In addition, he can’t be made to sell assets such as the stadium and the training ground which could leave us with a football club that has no stadium, no training ground and is losing money on a ...

Can't the EFL give Dai an ultimation? Sell by the end of the season including show you are actively trying to sell or you'll be disqualified from owning reading No, because the Independent Commission decide sanctions. And even if they do, he can just ignore them. In addition, he can’t be made to se...

Cool, so you just need to find another sports team to play in your stadium and get a NIMBY area to approve your development plans having destroyed their football club. Easy and makes perfect business sense. Sorry if I’m not being clear WYR. What I’m highlighting is a) the reason Dai is likely to be...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

So, even before its designation as a community asset, the SCL had a covenant that it can only be used to host sport. The idea that Dai could get around this by liquidating the club is bonkers; the council will not give him anything out of the moral outrage for what he's done. It would make it super...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

Simon Jordan summed it up pretty well. Disqualifying the owner leaves an immediate funding issue and doesn’t force him to sell anything. At best (if some funding can found) a continued tumble down the leagues is highly likely. Staying in league 1 may be very important in the overall scheme of things.

People pushing for more pitch invasions, not sure what traction it will get, but for me Saturday sent out a big message and achieved it`s goals, any more will be counter productive and do more damage than good. It will almost certainly stop fans coming if they`re uncertain of seeing a full game. My...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

Even if there was an annual check, could they actually force an owner to sell if they subsequently failed it? It does feel like really significant changes are needed to prevent this happening again to some other poor club No they couldn’t but they could put steps in place that would prevent a one t...

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

Banned from football puts the selling process in the hands of the administrator, best offer wins taking into account the creditors. Dai's dept is mainly to himself so really Admin is the best outcome at the moment, which is why certain parties are holding back and not getting into a bidding scenari...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

If there is genuine thought between the asset stripping plan, noting I don't think Dai ever has a plan, it would be to sell all players and academy prospects you can extract money from and sell Bearwood separately to the club. Then you try to get what you can for a shell of a L2 club plus the SCL, ...
