Re: Just seen the Kebe red card...

This decision, although unjust comes as no surprise. The last thing the FA want to do is to hang their official out to dry. I'm sure that they agree that his reaction to the incident was somewhat overzealous. If the referee failed to see it would the FA be slipping a misconduct charge under the door...

Re: Kevin please don't go

I can't see the point of this thread. Yes he might go in January although the chances of this happening are at their lowest since relegation. Contract, programme interview etc. Sounds a bit desperate to me. If he goes it would be a shame but RFC and its supporters arn't going to get down on their kn...

- You can recall the hilarious incident at Kenilworth Road back in League One days. - You sat in traffic to turn up at Ashton Gate already 2-0 down. And we wore a yellow kit. - You were at PANTS day. - You remember when you could arrive at the Mad Stad half hour before the game, find a space, and o...

Arriving at a dump of a town late and leaving as quickly as possible. Preferably with three points.

Re: Nicky Hammond

Hammond seems to carry the can for SC's cautious approach to the transfer market. Fae surely was a player that Coppell wanted so it's not Hammonds mistake. Players are not appearing to leave RFC for less than the going rate. Sometimes more. Credit to Hammond. People have questioned Squeaks ability t...

Re: Team for Crystal Palace

Hahnemann Rosenior Pearce Ingimarsson Golbourne Henry Karacan Harper SHunt N Hunt K Doyle As I said, in all honesty it would be rather foolish to change over half the team after one defeat this season. Coppell will make no more than one or hopefully two changes to the line up and formation we saw o...

Re: Team for Crystal Palace

Judging by SC's comments on the Official Site this afternoon it appears that Armstrong will not walk straight into the team. Perhaps this will then allow SC to make a couple of changes elsewhere on Saturday. N Hunt, Pearce or Karacan. SC's thinking minght be that Armstrongs place in the team will na...

Re: Team for Crystal Palace

I'd be very surprised to see SC make wholesale changes to the side on Saturday. If we were to make four or more changes across the pitch what happens if we don't get results? Get the kids out and bring the likes of Rosenior back. Not great for morale. I think Armstrong will play pushing Hunt further...

Re: Who is the mystery LB

I hear The Rouge is a bit of a left winger. Perhaps in true RFC fashion he could therfore do a job at left back.

Re: Jobs For The Boys At RFC

This principle didn't do Liverpool any harm during the 70's and 80's To extent that is true. Liverpool tended to at least supplement their playing squad with a couple of quality additions to the playing staff each season. Players that were better than were on the books already. Beardsley and Barnes...

Jobs For The Boys At RFC

Countless words have been exchanged on this board about the lack of drive and ambition at RFC. By common concensus there appears to be very little in the way of new, exciting and fresh ideas at all levels of the football club. How long is it since a new recruit was added to the decision making team ...

Re: Dave Mooney is Signing

When I get my weekly shop and I purchase I pack of six barn eggs. I know theres a good chance not all of these eggs will make it to the fridge in one piece. Five will last for the week. Six is a bonus, but five will last. Coppell has similar sensible insurance. We won't go short up front for now. :...

Re: Dave Mooney is Signing

Much of the critism of Coppells recent activity in the transfer market has been merited. However If you look at Coppells activity in the shopping aisles since picking up the reigns at RFC it's clear to see where he's found value and that the market's he knows. In particular those markets where he a...
