Re: Burnley - strengths and weaknesses

Thought I would comment - incidentally Alexander has played as a holding midfielder all season. Strengths - going forward, we have players with the ability to take opponents on Eagles, Blake, Wade Elliot etc & we also have plenty of goal threats (Aside from Paterson's 18 goals we have Eagles - 9...

Re: Burnley v Reading Predictions (A)

Clarets fan here 2-0 to ourselves on Saturday - Blake & Eagles Go 1-0 down early doors in the return, defend frantically & then a massively deflected equaliser off somebody's backside sees us at Wembley. To be fair though - if you perform as you did in the two games against us this year we w...

Re: Burnley Away Match Thread

I have to say I am surprised at the negativity on here. I appreciate that a lot of you are used to Premiership football, but the Championship is a tough league, and in order to triumph you need to mix guile with skill and strength. From what I have seen of you (Albeit only two games) you have the ab...

Re: Players Who Won't Fancy It Tonight

I thought Kebe was your most dangerous player - although he should have scored at least one goal.
He tormented our full back Kalvenes for a while and Jensen made at least one great save from him.
A bit of shooting practice and he will be a big big threat in this division

Re: Back from the game...

Another point - Bikey is a giant of a man, but why did he take that free-kick with the attcking talent you have at your disposal? I have to say that I have been on the end of results like that where the opposition keeper has his best ever game (and believe me - he did) and it isn't pleasant, but con...

Re: Back from the game...

Without a doubt you are the best side to visit Turf Moor this season, and to be fair you deserved something from the game. I thought we were going to get hammered after the first 20 minutes, when you hit the woodwork and Jensen made some excellent saves, but we gradually came into the game, although...

Re: Players Who Won't Fancy It Tonight

I have soft spot for Reading as my little sister lives in Whitley Wood, and I have been down a few times to sample the bustling metroplis and thriving culture that the South has to offer us poor Northerners. # doffs flat cap # Is she fit? Are you asking if I think my sister is fit?? Of course, I am...

Archie's penalty I am a Northern Reading fan braindead. They're always like this. Pay no heed.

lol - no worries I am thick skinned - probably due to the extreme cold and lack of coal for our fires since the eighties, in this part of the world

Re: Players Who Won't Fancy It Tonight

Jimmys home town of Vitry-sur-Seine is twinned with Burnley I thought 'what a load of old toss' - but he's right. Now will this motivate him to have a blinder against the town of Northern English monkeys who dare to associate themselves with his home town? or will he have a sort of soft spot for bl...

that means burnley will be under 8 foot of drifts with sherpas directing the locals to bargain booze and nearest McWhippet  Burnley fan here and, although a tad cold oop north, the snow seems to be holding off. Good to see the word "oop" is common parlance I was paraphrasing your ow...

Re: Back from the game

Burnley fan here. Just wanted to say that you guys should walk this league this year on current form, I thought you were excellent - Doyle, Bikey & the Hunts look quality players. It was the first time for a while that I have left a defeat thinking "Well, no arguments we were just outclasse...
