Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

I have a lack of specialist knowledge so cannot really understand what a 'signed legal document' regarding escrow would look like... Why would the buyer need to sign it - isn't it j...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

CEO salary? Highest paid Director salary in the 22/23 season was £234k based on Accounts published (page 22 if anyone wants to check) So not the CEO... Yeah I suspect the figure is the total wage bill for everyone on the payroll not just the players. Yes, the STAR figure is the total monthly commit...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

1mill per month divided by the 26 first team players who have made a first team appearance this season equals 38.k pm per player. Or £9.6k per week on average per player. That figure must be all in? Surely. Players, coaches, non playing staff. I don’t see how we can have an average of 10k per week ...

Read the STAR statement.

The details refer to the current financials, not the recently posted accounts.

This is the financial crisis now

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

STAR meeting summary reports that Reading's monthly wage commitment nets out at around £1M a month (+/- with win bonuses) That's ~ £12M a year. Other commitments ~£320k a month Outgoings = £15.84M They also reported that income (excluding player sales) to end of December (presumably April-Dec) was ...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

Dim is saying the full £12m escrow has been proposed, if that`s rejected we`re done. That wasn't what Rob told me yesterday evening. Unless something has changed today, which lets hope it has and what he says is correct, then we are waiting for Rob to review the deal. Rob corrected me when I sugges...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

Thanks mate. This has taken quite some prep since I managed to secure it but I hope we covered everything and got more new information. The liens information is very interesting. Whilst it avoids a doomsday scenario is this why the club have avoided administration but have been on a drip feed of fu...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

STAR have met the club to discuss the latest financials. In addition to wages & HMRC, business rates and utility payments are huge particularly business rates on Bearwood which is based on cost (£45m) rather than value. Sounds like Wokingham council are fleecing us. Rather worryingly there is n...
