Re: Back from the game - West Ham

Reminded me of a moment in mid 70's when we beat Swindon 4 -1 at Elm Park. On one run John Murray stopped and sat on the ball before resuming his run. I cannot recall anyone trying to break his legs for doing it.

Re: So who should we fear in the Swansea team

We're doomed aren't we? Why are we bothering to turn up? Because we follow our team and we want to get back into the Premier League, dont we? Yeah Swansea are good, but we've beat them in the past (speaking for both teams here). Anyway, forget about the stats and past fixtures, it all depends on th...

Re: Final tickets

Only bought one ticket after a few hours of the website crashing on Saturday. Parents let me know that 2 recorded deliveries had arrived...strange I thought. Check my account today and 2 tickets have been been debited! (different price points, as I was trying everything) Only 1 email was received s...

Re: Final tickets

Aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhh TZ have just debited 2 amounts from my account  - 1 amount for £480 for 7 x £64 tickets (for which I only got a system error message and no confirmation order number) and 1 amount for £386 for 7 x £52 tickets (an order which went through correctly) The 7 x ...

Re: Final tickets

I am pretty sure they haven't allocated tickets to me - they've probably only taken the money. I'm also confident that a phone call tomorrow will get it sorted. It's just incredibly annoying when you find these things out in the evening and can't do anything about it. It'll teach me to look at my cr...

Re: Final tickets - when was the money taken from your account?

Paid for tickets online on Saturday, Had loads of problems like everyone else. I was one of those that got through to a payment page (having not put any membership numbers in) and ordered 7 x £64 tickets - around £470.....having hit the "order now" button the next page I saw was a system e...

Re: Back from the game - Leicester

Staying in a local hotel so....here go my thoughts 1) an enjoyable game 2) periods of inactivity on both sides followed by intense spells of manic play. 3) first 15 mins of first half was devoid of any action worth reporting 4) then, from my recollection (alcoholic haze), ball fell to kebe who pushe...

Re: McAnuff's red card

Just on a point of law......for how long after the final whistle does the ref still have jurisdiction over the players? Or is it something to do with being on the field of play?

Re: Your first game

I am not entirely sure it was my first game but the first memory is the 1-0 defeat by Luton in 69-70 on a cold rainy night. My memory tells me that supermac scored ...but statistics may tell me differently. I was 10 and living in Western Elms.... Another early memory of Elm Park is bunking off schoo...

Re: Liverpool replay

I'm thinking about putting a few bets on for tomorrows game - 5 x £2. One I've seen I'm keen to go for is HT Reading / FT Liverpool - 25/1 - But I find weird is that the odds are less for HT Reading / FT Reading at 22/1.. £50 not bad return for a £2 stake which isn't that unrealistic.. Makes sense ...

Re: Reading vs. Scunny MATCH THREAD - Sponsored by Bounce Back

This is just terrible....I am ever the optimist but I think I shall make a trip down to the local bookies and put 50 quid on Reading to go down. I shall be delighted to lose the money but, should we go down, the cash will buy many bottles of JD in which I can drown my misery.

Re: Score predictions v Scunthorpe (H)

3 - 1 to Reading (HT 1-0)
Raz (2)
Gylfi
Attendance in the low 14000's

Optimists will point out that Reading are in promotion form with 13 points from last 7 games.
Pessimists will say that they were two poor teams both of whom deserve to go down.

Re: Back from the Game - Crystal Palace

I will say this yet again: THIS TEAM WILL BE RELEGATED. 50 of my English pounds say that we won't....... Current exchange rates dictate that 30.739 of my US$ say that we will. I realise the pound is falling faster than RFC but I think you've got muddled somewhere in your calculations. But for those...
