didn't we get to a playoff final last year? otherwise, agreed People were saying that the club was dead after 15/16, then we got to the playoffs and we "had our club back", and now the club is dead again. I mean, we are horrendously shit this year, but the hyperbole just gets out of hand ...
I'm trying to think back to the last home game I genuinely enjoyed watching & the one that springs to mind is the last game in Reading v Burnley May 2014 under Adkins when McCleary scored that wonder goal. Was it 2-2 & we needed a win? None of the home games from the following 2 seasons are ...
Wasn't the football last season pretty tedious though? It certainly was in the PO final... I am nervous for Saturday I really am. Derby are chokers & could easily screw their game up. Likewise pressure could get to Preston. Bolton look the least likely to be up for a win but saying all that Fore...
Not posted on here for a good 2 years but been reading with interest. I am genuinely quite sad as to what has happened to RFC. Gave up my ST at end of 15/16 season thinking things were bad then, but my god it really has taken a turn for the worst. Thankful that Barnsley & Burton have Derby &...
Lets be honest BM wasn't putting bums on seats. They need bums on seats. I can kind of see why they've done it but just flabbergasted as to why they appointed him at all. I feel desperately sorry for him as he doesn't deserve this treatment. Lets hope he can get his job back at Arsenal. None of it m...
As E-P put it earlier (in this thread, I think) whatever style you play it looks shit if you're losing. We've been playing the possession-based short passing game for three years now and, generally, we've been shit at it and it's been fcuking painful watching us. Sure, there've been some decent spe...
I have mixed emotions about this. Brian is such a great guy & clearly cares about the club. Undoubtedly that's going to galvanise the fans which is definitely needed. However I can't be the only one remembering the ball being a hot potato & spending a lot of time in the air - us just punting...
For now - I'd imagine all 3 will go out next round.
The quality of the football is poor. It shows throughout all 4 tiers & it also shows at international level. Not sure if it's down to the money or what it is but for me, English football is in the poorest state I can remember.
Who cares? I watch football to be entertained. Bit of a contradiction there! Is your definition of entertainment the underdog winning & not much else then? Isn't a large part of the entertainment watching good football :?: What is getting served up in the Prem & championship is fcuking sh*t...
Wonder if strap has some analysis on the decline of the HNA match threads over the past 3 years.... Sorry, I haven't keep those stats! I suppose I could got back and cont the posts in each match thread - but surely that would be too sad - even for me?! :) I suspect the results wouldn't make for goo...
