Re: New captain 2015/16

Kuhl is a fairly sensible suggestion because he's a ridiculously good captain, and already looked the part in his first team appearances. Fosu isn't and didn't. QED. FWIW, there are plenty of examples of younger captains than Kuhl floating around - Nigel Reo-Coker and Jermaine Jenas were both capta...

Re: New captain 2015/16

Based on your point about the longest serving player being made captain, why would we then promote a washed up, sicknote, mercanary who hasn't even played a full half of football to position of captain? The only thing Anton Ferdinand will be playing regularly next season is the physio's ringtone. He...

Re: New captain 2015/16

Aaron Kuhl. Hal Robson-Kanu as vice captain, because he is our longest-serving player (measured since first team debut). Ferdinand is a good option if he's popular in the dressing room, probably the only member of the squad (other than Kuhl) who is a natural leader. Big "no" to Williams. ...

Re: Clarke interview observations from an outsider

Clarke is doing as good a job as any. If you don't give a manager players or money then what can you expect?

This has odours of Coventry City 2011/12 campaign about it

Re: New captain 2015/16

Coppelled_Streets Ferdinand if fit
Williams or Hector if not

Can I just ask how many times have you seen Anton Ferdinand play? My assumption is not a lot - your head must obviously have been in the sand 3 years ago when he actually did play football.

Re: New captain 2015/16

As Danny Williams is the best player at the club I've gone for him. That and the fact he's one of the few with fire in his belly.

Re: Speculation - Orlando Sa

Legia manager Henning Berg never criticized his player, but "insiders" reported that he didn't like the Portuguese's attitude and that Sá felt he was too good for the Polish league. Then, suddenly, in the last game of the season, Legia fans could see the Henning Berg / Orlando Sá bittersw...

Re: Summer Rebuild

I think we're more likely to be fishing around League 1 which might spell us playing there the following season. Hopefully. Hopefully? Yeah, because that always works out well doesn't it. Let's have a oxf*rd pitch invasion to celebrate our regression if we win the race for relegation next year. Wit...

Re: Summer Rebuild

Reading between the lines of the Clarke interview if he cannot sign at least 5 players he will be off. He said "I would like to bolster the midfield with at least one more player and I think we need two strikers. If we got them, then I would be happy to work with that squad." Therefore, i...

Re: What is the point in HRK

Chris Coleman supposedly gets the best out him so what's the difference? Better players around him. Which suggests it's purely down to his ego. Poster above has a very valid point that keeping him would be better than selling and not replacing, but surely they won't pocket the money? It's not the Oy...

Re: What is the point in HRK

It's pretty clear, much to my delight, that no one here rates Robson-Kanu yet you do still see several shirts on a matchday with his name emblazoned on the back. Why?! It's unbelievable Jeff

I respect the optimism from everyone but we are forgetting a fundamental fact here: Anton Ferdinand is horseshit. He's really really bad.

You can tell you're a proper noob.

Not sure what that means so I can't confirm. I can tell you're probably 15 years old with grammar and terminology like that though.

Re: One Hundred and Six

My "moment I knew" was Wolves away in that memorable season. Glen Little terrorised Joleon Lescott all game, they were highly fancied and we just bossed them from start to finish. Still get upset that we got so much wrong in that second season in the Premier League - could have consolidat...
