Re: Summer Rebuild

Is he replaceable? Yes. Will it cost money to replace him? Most likely. Should that money have been spent on other areas? Definitely. Reading FC defender Alex Pearce set to complete Derby County move Do Derby enjoy Reading ruining their season or something? A huge step in the right direction for us...

A hooped version of the Argyle template would be nice. Hooped socks as well, potentially, based on their design

Re: Pre-season Friendlies

LUCKY ME i will be able to get to the game, even though it will mean a 900 mile round trip from Chiang Mai. But I would not miss it for the world. If there any other Royals fans living in Thailand and intend going to the game please let me know so we can hook up IN. Flights and hotels booked. Will ...

Re: Kevin Watson

Jobi McAnuff bought me a jagerbomb in a club in Newcastle after the 2-1 win. I will be having grandchildren solely to tell them that story

"Mine's a shot of water", said Jobi, guzzling another sambuca triumphantly after the first away win of the season.

Re: Summer Rebuild

I'm an admirer of Jason Pearce, who inexplicably left Leeds in January to join the sinking Wigan ship. An improvement on Alex, I would imagine he could be available. He was captain at Leeds too Alex is a much better player than Jason. That's why Alex was POTS in a team which won the league, why Ale...

Re: Safe standing end?

ladida_gunner_graham See earlier post and link from GH Royal. Standing areas have an 80% increase in capacity. It is not intuitive that a standing person takes up less space than a sitting one?

It is, yes. However, I remember at Nottingham Forest a few years ago there was a guy in front of me who had to buy 2 seats

Hoping: relegation Let's get it out the way and clear the decks, storm League 1 and use the momentum to go again in the Championship. Expectations: 17th Why does everyone think relegation would be great and we'd storm League One? Big clubs sure, they eventually find their way out of it but we're no...

Re: Pre-season Friendlies

Anyone else hearing that we're getting the U21's to play at Adams Park next season with a view to moving the first team games there the season after once the Thais have sold off the stadium? My dream is for this to happen and start a Phoenix club based at Palmer Park. Imagine how beautiful it could...

Re: Summer Rebuild

Don't understand why do many are so keen to see the back of players who've done little wrong for us. Sure, Pearce isn't the best defender in the country, or the league. Or maybe not even at the club (although I think he is). But that isn't the point. Every first team regular that leaves has to be r...

Surely the real prize in any further development near the stadium is the obligatory Spoons. This might well have been the best post I've ever seen on this forum - submit the plans now! Back to the squad, do we think any of the QPR deadwood they've just chucked out could be of any use to us? This li...

Re: Federici - a tribute

I'd say his first 2 games for the club tell the story of his whole Reading career. Earned us a replay at Old Trafford, culpable in throwing away the game inside 5 minutes in the replay. A decent Championship keeper. I wish him well but I fear he'll be given ample opportunity to show how good he is ...
