Re: CONFRIMED: Latest rumours Confrimed as Unconfrimed

I'm not convinced there is another serious bidder, it's all pretend by Dai until he finally runs out of road. This month or next probably.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol Rovers (h)

We should have been ahead after a dominant first half but for some reason the selfish Knibbs decided not to square it for a certain goal. If I was a Rover fan I would be apoplectic about Forde, the only player booked and he drop kicks the ball away - what an idiot. After that you could see Rovers we...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Crawley Town (h)

Also a mention for the ref who was terrible. Blew for any contact whatsoever which played into Crawleys plan to grind out a 0-0. Why are these league 1 refs so shit? Crawley got 21 fouls to our 6. I'm confused whether a quoter of facts is challenging or supporting my opinion that the ref was shit.

Re: SCL Stadium - worst ground in League One

He's obviously done it to get clicks. The SCL is obviously in the top 5 stadiums in the league but would be boring and get no engagement if he put that. Instead he puts it bottom, puts a few absolute dumps at the top and it's gets the people going. Edgelord cherry on top he puts Peterborough top kn...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Crawley Town (h)

it was a pretty odd game today, a worldie from Wing was worth turning up early for, and we played well in parts but sat back and seemed lucky not to concede 2 or 3 more. I didn't feel comfortable until the third went in, and don't underestimate the shot from Savage - that was pure class and so easy ...

Re: CONFRIMED: Latest rumours Confrimed as Unconfrimed

Can someone explain how an overseas company can have a charge on the stadium, a UK asset? Is there some place in the UK that registers these charges, otherwise how would any buyer know how many other companies in the world that have loaned Dai money have also got charges on the stadium. Do BVI court...

Re: CONFRIMED: Takeover collapsed; Back to square one

It sounds Dai wanted to sell to someone who would let him keep control or at least reap some reward from a new buyers efforts. No chance of that. Once you sell you need to walk away. It also doesn't stack up with him wanting to sell the training ground. He's seen transfer sell on clauses (which alw...

Re: Takeover collapsed; Back to square one

Couhig did not respond to FootBiz and almost certainly wouldn’t be allowed to say anything anyway, but there are very concerning whispers from those close to the deal that the financial pickle Dai has got himself into could mean it is almost impossible for the club to actually transact. Could some ...

Re: TAKEOVER CONFRIMATION EXPECTED

This is how I remember it. Same here. I recall "stundent" was a deliberate typo, but "confrimation" was accidental. When was the last time anyone new on the board was greeted with "F**k off newbie!" When was the last time a newbie username was anyone other than one of ...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

I thought I heard that the club hadn't paid the bill for TVP so they only sent the legal minimum cover. So no chance of them stopping anything,

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (a)

Disappointing result but I thought we actually played ok. Wrexham were clinical with the chances they had whereas we look toothless in attack and ran out ideas. I really wasn't happy with the stand arrangement, I was near the middle aisle that went down to the front but there was no exit. There was ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (h)

i thought that was a pretty comfortable home win, the second goal made all the difference so we weren't hanging on. I thought the whole team seemed to have a cohesion we've not seen for a while, the transfer embargo has helped us keep a settled team who know what they are doing. Good games from Wifi...

Re: Wrexham (A)

In for this. The last time I went it snowed and we had to rush to Primark to buy some warm clothes. I remember thinking Hahneman with his bald head and short sleeved shirt must have been frozen.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT YET* CONFIMRED

I would suggest that there’s no way the EFL would make public (deliberately) if they’d been lenient for exactly that reason But someone has said they have been, and it would just be nice to know when. We tend to know when we’ve done wrong (missed payments etc) and I can’t recall us doing anything t...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT YET* CONFIMRED

A @ReadingFC update. I’m told still lots of work to do if deal to be finalised within 10 days. Rob Couhig believes he can take over in that time, but EFL need convincing he has required funds and 2 year plan, and there’s a final meeting with DY to agree final terms pending. I’ll have more on @BBCSp...

Re: The general Euro2024 chit chat thread

Portugal for me. Got a really decent starting 11. I think England might bomb, They just look a bit fragile at the back and if they go a goal behind the plan B of TAA just throwing balls in the box won't work..... It's not just the fragile defence, the whole team of talented players seem clueless ho...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I wonder if Wycombe were ever going to buy our training ground or if their ex-owner saw it as a way to get a foot in the door to buy the rest of Reading FC on the cheap after selling on Wycombe? Maybe he was just impressed with the protests and thought, These fans are so passionate, I want a piece ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I've had a reminder to renew my season ticket, probably to help pay the wage bill. Presumably there's a few million pounds from the ST sales that could fall on either side of the deal, is Dai stalling until the deadline? I was mildly intrigued by the wording on the email, particularly "one thi...
