Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

What about the owner of Fleetwood, wasn't he in jail when we played them last year?

I also wonder about Platek, if I were him my offer - if there ever was one - would now be a lot lower than it was before the revelation of the clock on Dai's tenancy.

Re: CONFIMRED - This might be it!!

Coutig has charges over physical assets. The assets cannot be transfered to a new owner without the charges being removed. Money being deposited into escrow parks this legal dispute. With the next hearing not scheduled until June. I'm going to go off what Couhig's lawyers said in court if that's ok...

Re: CONFIMRED - This might be it!!

I'm also not clear on Couhigs claim, he got his loans paid back, but he lost some money on legal fees. His legal bill can't be more than £1m, so what is the other claim. As I recall from the commentary posted the £6m offer for escrow came from the club and the judge agreed. What does the club think ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stevenage (h)

Poor game. Savage MOM, Abrefa and Bindon good, everyone else bang average. Ref inept as usual. A point is the most we deserved. +1 It was a poor game but there were 2 occasions where we played some absolutely quality football in between the dross. I do wonder what it is with these refs that blow fo...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (h)

Fantastic performance - on it from the start and dominated the first half without creating much. What was most impressive was we came out second half and went again and got our rewards. Also coped well with one of the most pathetic refereeing decisions there has ever been at the Mad Stad. Well done...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (h)

LUX What happened?

Free kick to Reading, Strickland was standing over the ball to take it, jogs away and leaves it for the keeper, then gets a second yellow for time wasting.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

Prematch we sought out a nearby Joseph Holt pub - the Douglas Bank, a 15 min walk to the ground and 2 pints for £6! (635 bus from the centre). Highly recommended for future visits. Wigan is remarkably well stocked for pubs. Railway Hotel/Swan, John Bull Chop House, The Anvil around the centre Four ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

BFTG. First half we dominated but no real chances except for some poor shots and a looping deflection. We seemed to control possession but didnt look as if we'd ever score. It was inevitable that Wigan would score from a corner, a free header with no marker. I was surprised by the fight back and the...

Re: CONFIMRED - This might be it!!

I imagine with the amount of heat on the club with everything that it's quite far into the exclusivity period and EFL may have given Platek the green light. We need to go back to the old Reading, develop players and sell 1-2 every season for big money whilst building a strong core. Hopefully the ne...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h)

Just to add - I think they need to do something about head injuries. Cochrane held his head and faked a head injury at every opportunity, and remarkably recovered when Brum could break. I think the ref needs to show some concern and after 3 feigned injuries and send them off to get assessed for thei...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h)

Thoroughly enjoyable 0-0 and we were very much worth the point. Craig and Knibbs were immense and Mbengue's goal line clearance defied logic. Interesting to note that some on Birmingham fans' forum rated us the best side they have faced this season. I can't help thinking that translates as 2 points...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h)

It was odd coming away from the game feeling that we'd nicked the win when before the pen I was thinking this was 2 points dropped. We deserved the win even if the pen was soft. I actually thought both were soft and the one that Wing didn't get was more deserved. A poor ref that seemed to fall for a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h)

I was expecting more from Bolton but they offered very little threat. It looked like a game that both teams were happy with a point until the penalty. We needed not to lose today after the recent run of results and a rare penalty - ironically after Smith goes and our last at Bolton gives us the win....

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (h)

Goal 2: The defensive set up is dreadful, Stockport have three players in space beyond the last defender. Two offside who run on and block the defence and Knibbs from peeling back, leaving the guy who was onside in acres of space an easy free header on goal. . I think a lot of linos would have give...

Re: CONFRIMED: Latest rumours Confrimed as Unconfrimed

I wonder if bidders are interested in the club to make a profit developing the training ground or stadium land, then when they find out they can't do either they bail. Maybe the club could publish some statement saying that the Thais own the car park and there are planning restrictions on building h...

Last year there was some wierd prematch appreciation for a bald old guy in a large cream coat, who turned out to be some sort of East End gangster. Did he die shortly afterwards?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Northampton Town (h)

Not from me but from certain quarters we are already reaching a must win scenario for Noel. Which is rather mental considering its only his fourth game in charge. I'm not sure you can say it's mental as he hasn't won any of them. And the last home game we got outplayed and tonked 3-0. We usually do...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (h)

My brother is coming down for this one, he's had no interest in football for 60 years until he suddenly decides to get a Blackpool ST. Since then we've been thrased every time I've been to Bloomfield Road since. I think we left early when we went 4-0 down last time. So this time I'm hoping for some ...
