Re: BBC Predictor - End Of Season Predictions

West Ham 93
Saints 89
Blackpool 83
Royals 82
Cardiff 81
Brum 76
The key appears to be the 3 out of 4 games away starting with West Ham-squeaky bum time!

Re: What Reading FC stuff do you own?

I own a beer mug celebrating the winning run in the 80`s. I say own, I had it behind the bar of The Foresters Brunswick St when I lived locally and as far as I know it still might be there. Used to go in there before game when we played at Elm Park but not been in since we moved to Madstad. Anyone w...

1961-1998 Elm Park
1998-Present Madstad
Only thing I miss about EP is that you could stand somewhere different if you got caught next to a real numpty

Re: Sad times for old Elm Parkers

Always used to be a good place for pre-match chats with opposition fans ( prior to the tribal nonsense of latter years ) Also played many a happy game of darts there when my pub team was in the same league and was always guaranteed a good spread put on by Len.

Re: What has everyone got against Federici?

westongeezer Feds distribution is without doubt far better than Alex's but his skills in goal are lacking in comparison

Cant totally agree with that. Ok his kicking isn`t as accurate but he is far more aware of the opportunity of a quick throw which retains possession. I

Added to which is the oncoming UEFA Fair Play rules that come into force shortly; paying over the odds on wages will damage the club in future years. I love it when posters blather on about "no investment" and "having no ambition"; its both inaccurate and lazy and is symptomatic...

Re: Taking Stock : Fans [A first in a series]

I am with Hampshire Royal on this.OK so Long, Kebe et al may move on. Same as it ever was. Until a club is as big as Chelsea etc all other clubs are selling clubs.Do you relly think Aston Villa fans like seeing Ashley Young and Stuart Downing touted among the bigger clubs.Of course not, but money ta...

Re: The Phil Dowd appreciation thread.

The masochist in me made me watch the recording of the match this morning and I have to say that I don`t really think that Dowd got much wrong. Both pens spot on, handball, where woulld you have your arms other than by your body in that position. Ok he was lenient with Zurab in not booking him for t...

Far better 40,000 whether "regulars" or not than th old days when crowd changes were announced to the team.

Re: Extra Significance for me

Really sorry to hear of your loss and hope last night helps you through the pain. Was thinking about my old mate Pete who sat next to me from day one at the Madstad and passed away at the beginning of the season. Lets hope they are cheering us on together and we get a result at Wembley for them.

Re: Back from the game - Cardiff (A) - Wembley special.

Can I just put a good word in for some Cardiff fans as they aren`t all complete planks. We parked up next to a car load of CCFC fans and I saw them look as we got out of our car and made a joke to them about if the car would be ok there. No problem they assured us. They caught up with us on the way ...
