Re: Kitson reception

Dave was looking a little out of sorts today, missing 2 chances I would have put money on he would put away. Fortunately he made a quick recovery to block a goal bound strike, and then after the whistle clapped the Reading fans. Dave Kitson - Still a Reading legend in my eyes. That's a fair summary...

Re: Back from the Game - Pompey

Absolutely delighted with today's result. I was a little concerned when I saw the team but I thought Bryn conducted himself well at right back, and Karacan really has come on leaps and bounds this season. Long took his goals well, although I have to admit I don't favour a 4-5-1 formation. When you l...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

If this happens it's a major, major change. Assuming it's based on the German licensing system, clubs would need to submit accounts, business plans and full details of ownership, management of debt before teh start of each season which would be scrutinised before they were granted a licence to comp...

Re: Best result of the season?

I didn't fancy us today I must admit. Superb result. But we're so in form right now, that bubble could pop at any time and we don't have time to recover if it does. Really need a run undefeated until the end of the season now.

Re: Weekend Football 19th/20th

United left it late to sneak a win. They have very little to worry about with Arsenal now.

Pardew wont last long at Newcastle if this form continues and they start next season well.

Re: Predictions for Barnsley (A)

This is the sort of fixture that will trip us up and put an end to the little bit of hope we still have of gatecrashing the top six.

Spurs game will be a corker. United will do Chelsea over two legs. Barca look good for another final.

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Nothing will happen to them. Same old story. I just hope they get relegated as that is likely to be the biggest punishment coming to them.

Re: B W-P an aside

Just noticed that Mr Injury, Bradley Wright-Phillips has played every game (10) since joining Charlton and scored 5 goals (at League 1 Level) BUT In the same time period RFC have played 11 games against WAY tougher opposition Cardiff-QPR-Norwich-Millwall-Watford, EVERTON, Ipswich-MAN CITY, plus Pal...

Re: The Southbank sit down protest

88/89 had probably the worst football played at Reading in the last 30 years or so. Astonishingly, Branfoot survived for a few more months yet.. Worse than 1997-99? Shiiiiiit........ It's hard to describe how bad we were. At least in 97/98 we had a good first half of the season and had a sneaky lit...

Re: Injuries.. Morrison debut Saturday???

I'm sure if called upon he'd do a decent job. He's young, got a lot about him.

I know Leeds and Fulham were tracking him before Reading stole in in January. We were apparently going to go in for him in the summer but couldn't risk losing him to another club. Future Reading captain!

Re: Howard to Saints

I don't think Howard's that bad a player really. He's very much a mid-table Championship player and we are very much a mid-table Championship team. I wonder what the gaffer has up his sleeve as a possible replacement?

Re: Alex McCarthy No.1

I haven't seen many games with Federici in goal but I know the opinion is split on him. We've been hearing for a long time now how Hamer, Anderson and now McCarthy are quality young keepers, and it's good to see McCarthy now showing it. I took in my first games for over a year recently and was very ...
