Re: Watford Away

That's great, thanks for the help!
I've not been to Watford away yet, is there a particular pub most Reading fans go to near the ground?

Re: Watford Away

In. Does anyone know if a normal travelcard return from reading allows travel to Watford junction or do I have to buy a separate ticket on the underground?

Re: Birmingham away

Any pubs close to St Andrews i've seen have all been for home fans only and they're terrible tbh. According to http://www.footballgroundguide.com/birmingham_city/ there are two pubs close to the ground that tolerate away fans, The Cricketers Arms and The Brighton Pub. Not been to either of them myse...

Re: Birmingham away

How far is that walk from the pub to the ground?! My knees might not be up to it. It's not too bad a walk out to the ground. Half an hour mentioned is probably a little generous, 20 mins easily. Definitely recommend the Dragon Inn, or there's the Newt Bar at New St station which will be servi...

Re: West Ham (A) - I'm looking forward too.....

This is probably in the wrong thread, but i'm not sure where else to put it. Can someone recommend some good ale pubs in London around Paddington/Marylebone or on the way to Upton Park? We always seem to mess up our London trips and end up looking for a pub for ages or in a Wetherspoons somewhere. I...

Re: Your first ever away win

Birmingham 1-3 Reading 2008

This was also my first away game. It was the last game before Christmas and I remember a lot of Christmas themed songs. There was quite a large following too, maybe around 2000? N Hunt scored a free kick and Doyle got the second. Can't remember who got the third.

Re: Back from the game - Cardiff (A)

Reading fans do like to whinge during the game. The last half hour was not good on the pitch, but the fans should be getting behind the players, but everytime a pass went astray it was 'Kebe you oxf*rd useless twat', or Harte you massive piece of shit etc Its like we were in the bottom three the am...

M-U-R-T-Y No

McAnuff should keep it, he may not be a natural leader, but it would destroy his confidence if it was taken off him and would not be good for the team IMO
