Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

The problem is, if/when Dai screws over Platek and HE holds Dai to account, the dipshit contingent of our fans will vocally turn on him as well. I'm uncertain about how they think spreading unfounded hatred about potential buyers helps sell the club. As well as massively over simplifying what I and...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

I hadn't noticed, the flurry of legalese across multiple sources, that the club have accepted moving reasonable funds into escrow. That seems positive. Ah, well that's actually rather fantastic. It not only means the liens will be sorted, it's pretty strong evidence that there IS a sale happening.....

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

The sale to Platek is being held up by Couhig's spurious case. You can try all you like to spin this another way, but that's the case. I get that Dai could just put the part of the sale value he's being sued for by Couhig into an escrow account. Seems he's unlikely to do this. The Couhig court case...

Re: CONFIMRED - The final countdown

Full Transcript of Rob Couhig interview on EFL Today. ———- Delighted to say that Rob joins us now on EFL Today. Rob, what does Friday's decision mean for you? What does it mean for Reading Football Club? And what does it mean for Dayoung? Because this is, I mean, it's the latest and long line of ann...

Re: CONFIMRED - This might be it!!

Some comments on hear on the lost profits claim and being outrageous as well as the £12/£6m escrow. If we assume Couhig believes he has valid evidence of a breach of exclusivity, then I would hope we would all agree that a loss of profits claim his reasonable, as a breach of contract by the seller ...

Re: CONFIMRED - This might be it!!

Like many, really don’t get what Couhig is claiming for. How the **** can you justify and claim for loss of profits on a football club you don’t even own? Some comment seems to be that his claim was simply based on the fact “I did it at Wycombe and I’ll do it again”! So hardly the sort of well bala...

Re: CONFIMRED - This might be it!!

lol @ the continued “Couhig is as complicit as Dai” nonsense even after a judge has literally just ruled against Dai’s case that Couhig’s claim blocks the sale. Dai could have settled this months ago. Perhaps I've misunderstood. I thought Couhig had just gone through the courts to retain his block ...

Re: CONFIMRED - This might be it!!

The Royal Forester Could Dai get round the you must sell instruction by just transferring his shares to his sister?

I guess that would depend on whether his sister is “fit and proper”.

I’ve had worse.

Re: CONFIMRED - This might be it!!

I mean, there is the distant dream that Dai rightly compensates Couhig <insert fair amount here> and sells to whoever this other joker is that is suddenly the greatest human alive. OR that Dai rightly agrees to set the max sum aside pre/post sale as he was asked, sells the club, oxf*rd off and takes...

Re: CONFIMRED - This might be it!!

A court has heard that Reading chief Dai Yongge (pictured) has failed an Owners' and Directors' Test – yep. He is being sued by ex-Wycombe owner Rob Couhig (pictured) after his attempted takeover of Reading collapsed last year – yep. Yongge has responded by trying to get an injunction against Couhi...

Re: CONFIMRED - This might be it!!

Ugh. So a pretty depressing day. All we learned is that (a) Couhig paid the bills on the agreement the sale was a done deal, (b) he wants compensation for that agreement being broken, (c) his claim wasn’t really blocking the sale and (d) there is no sale to be blocked anyway. The best news was that ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (h)

Royal Ginger Parky obviously criticised the ref for the penalty but also mentioned the sending off in the same breath.

Right or wrong, it was certainly an odd one that is rarely enforced.

Second yellow for time wasting would be harsh enough, but it was hardly any time at all.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wrexham (h)

stealthpapes
Norwich get an assist from the ref, chests down the ball for a Norwich player to volley the ball into the top corner from outside the area.

Took my ex-missus to that game, she had a whale of a time.

Dunno. Maybe I'd just live with Armadillo.

Whilst I didn't buy the bike I still got a bloody ride.

Re: CONFIMRED - This might be it!!

I read somewhere (Earnshaw?) he's claiming £10 million. Some of that could well be the costs involved in the lead up to a deal, but I think he's also claiming for what he would have earn by owning RFC. Which is just fantasy. Originally, his case was seen as some Trump-style "art of the deal&qu...
