Re: Bristol St Motors trophy 2024/5

From a branding point of view, that makes sense really; Bristol Street Motors Trophy made it sound like a single physical garage was sponsoring a 5 a side tournament at a local leisure centre.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Peterborough United (a)

I would count it as a point gained rather than 2 lost if we get a draw, but not expecting anything.

Harborough Town's average home attendance is 369 and that includes 1,600 for the recent visit of Bury.

Re: CONFRIMED: Latest rumours Confrimed as Unconfrimed

"Mr Dai and co-defendants had been ordered to repay the linked loans and outstanding interest that was in excess of £34 million as of June this year, according to the Chinese company" That number is close to what he was expecting to raise from the sale of the Club. Reading that article, I ...

Re: CONFRIMED: Latest rumours Confrimed as Unconfrimed

It feels like certain Parties are waiting for us to run out of money go into admnistration, and then pick us up on the cheap (and with the added benefit of not having to deal with someone as utterly untrustworthy as Dai, which might be a far bigger consideration than even we can imagine!).

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (a)

Sometimes you have to credit the opposition; they looked a well drilled, very well organised team with a lot of skill and flair for League One, and at times watching them pass the ball around it was hard not to be impressed. The quality of Lewis Bate's crosses into the box, which caused us problems ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (a)

Clyde1998 The club said 741 tickets have been sold for this, with additional tickets available via Stockport today.

That is actually pretty impressive for a Tuesday night away in deepest Cheshire.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (a)

There was a season when Stockport and Reading were genuine rivals for a promotion spot; we played them on a very icy Elm Park in front of (what was then) a huge crowd, and Kevin Francis was like Bambi. The other game against them that stands out was in the mid/late 90's, midweek away. It absolutely ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cheltenham Town (a)

Those FA Cup games at Whaddon Road were also in heavy rain (iirc).

I might go to the rearranged game; I work in Brizzel so its a short hop up from there, especially if its pay on the gate.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

I had a random thought during the game when Garcia was fouled; is kicking a 16 year old classed as child abuse? Bindon and Mbengue looked excellent at the back, whilst our midfield looked exceptional at times. Better vision and delivery in and around the Burton penalty area and we could have had a h...

Re: Record Watch 2024/25

Here's a record I didn't know we held until yesterday. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GWV1WO1XEAA-BDV?format=jpg&name=medium Same era that Le Fondre won player of the month playing fewer than 90 minutes of football (85), which I understand was a record at the time. Love it when there is a Premier ...

Re: CONFRIMED: Takeover collapsed; Back to square one

Let’s be honest there’s little likelihood that anyone involved isn’t a pcunt in some form or another . Dai has been a damaging one but Couhig didn’t really give me any better vibes than Storey or the German bloke. The whole Purple Turtle/Twitter presence always seemed a little “try hard” for me. We...

rabidbee I’m taking the nippers to their first ever Royals match this Saturday (poor bloody buggers), so I’m hoping for a really positive reaction from the players please. A cracking atmosphere wouldn’t go amiss either.

Careful; they might end up becoming Huddersfield fans!
