Re: World Cup 2026

Whilst it is basically impossible for Brazil not to qualify for the World Cup, they are totally screwing up their qualification fixtures. Currently 4th in CONMEBOL and a point above Colombia in 6th. They have lost five of their 14 games so far, including in 4-1 Argentina last night. I don't know mu...

Re: Dave Kitson > Shane Long > Kevin Doyle

Hard to say, all very different players. Although I'd say that Kitson is probably the best all-round striker I've ever seen play for us. Yeah. Doyle was consistently better than Long, who had one good season here, a couple including elsewhere. Quinn should be in the conversation. Prime Joao was as ...

Re: Dave Kitson > Shane Long > Kevin Doyle

Kitson is the best striker we've ever had and it's not even close. Seems you're forgetting Paul Brayson & Keith Scott! I remember the emotional rollercoaster of signing Scott. Was disappointed when I saw on teletext (iirc) that we were signing him, then relieved to see it wasn't happening, then...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game - 24/25 page 225 onwards

The Wrexham forum is brilliant! So much so they’ve opened a second thread to complain about how they need to sack everyone and fold the club. Shouldn’t have to mention they’re in THIRD only by goal difference! :D Well, that's our season over and done with. Night lads. That's me done. I wonder if th...

People complain about our style of play, but imagine being a Wrexham fan, 2nd in the league, coming to a shambles club and parking the bus.

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Bayern nearly started to fcuk it up at the weekend, losing at home to Bochum, somehow. Which means Leverkusen losing for just the second time in 59 league games was rather badly timed. Bayern have an eight point lead, with nine games to play, only two of which are against teams in the top 8. I know...

It's a three horse race for the title in Serie A, after Atalanta's 4-0 win at Juve. Inter are top on 61pts, then Napoli on 60 and Atalanta on 58.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (h)

Could be the threadbare squad that leads to us struggling in weekday games that don’t leave much recovery time. Though we also seem to fluff our lines in games that we presume should be an easier win (typically home games against the lower table). Might be that we thrive off being the underdog. Or ...
