Re: Reading FC ltd company announcement

RFC invoiced Beijing Renhe F.C. £3m for the loan of a player (Sone Aluko) in 2018/19. It looks like a one-off loan fee as there was nothing in the following year and his loan spanned both financial periods. Probably didn't even cover the full cost of his wages. That would mean he was on £60k a week...

genome Bet Daniel Levy doesn't move a bloody inch

Spurs can be in a super league of their own. They might win it, but then again maybe not.

Re: European Super League

But I am against the Super league, of course. Unless Reading get in. To be fair we've won the Champions League/European Cup the same number of times as Arsenal and Spurs combined, so why shouldn't we be in the elite group as well? We could have the "Royal Derby" twice a year with Real Mad...

Renewed.
Not really sure why. I have a busy life.
£30 more than last year. Upper West Renewal.
20th year as STH.
There should have been a discount after last season - next may be my last.

Re: CONFIMRED - Paul Clement appointed as new Royals boss

Wikipedia (the font of all knowledge) has his younger brother born in Reading. Does this mean that Paul grew up in the mighty borough that he now hopes to save?

Re: Gourlay out.

Gourlay stated that of the seven players that were brought to the club in the summer five of those have been our best players Tim could have asked him to name the five as i am struggling somewhat . Bacuna and Barrow yes, but that says nothing if the whole team is playing like a pile if crap. Clemen...

If they don't sort out the lack of mains water in RG2 today I guess they may call the game off.
Anyone know if the MadStad is OK?

Re: Where are you drinking? - Play Off Final edition

I was at the Green Man pre Swansea and the queues were horrific. I picked up my ticket from my contact ( whom I shall not name) and skedaddled. Really cannot understand why you'd want to go to the designated pubs when there are so many better, less crowded places in a 5- mile radius of the stadium,...

bobby1413 Also will be happy for Huddersfield having their chance in the PL if we don't win. They seem a decent club and I'd wish them well

I'd like to support that. Clearly I want us to smash them on Monday, but if we have to lose to Sheff Wed, Fulham or Uddersfield, I would pick the latter.

Thanks for all the updates this season sutekh. They have been informative and entertaining. Even though it is, as you say there, a bank holiday here on the 29th I will be working. By the time I get around to watching it the tears of joy, or sorrow, will have been flowing there for a few hours. Win ...

5 of the starting Ajax line-up on Wednesday would be a good start.
They'd pick up our playing style quite quickly.

Al Habsi, McShane and Quinn have all played in an FA Cup final. Obviously, Obita, Gunter, Williams and McCleary all played in the cup semi. Gunter has also played in a European Championship semi final. That's off the top of my head. Ali Al-Habsi watched the 2013 FA Cup Final from the bench, so not ...

Re: Team for Huddersfield

Everything Swift did on Tuesday was just a bit off form. I think we need Kelly to collect the ball from the defence to relieve the pressure that Huddersfield will put them under. Stam can sort the rest out, but I think it is all fairly obvious if Obita is fit apart from Swift/Kelly and Grabban/Mende...

Re: Trouble at the station after the game last night?

4 vehicles rushed down Friar Street with sirens at just after 22:15 last night.
Don't know where they were going but I suspect there is so little trouble these days that they go at just the sniff of a confrontation to try and stamp it out.

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

Typically they are restricting this to non-UK. I wonder how long it will take them to understand that the protectionist approach is self defeating and that the people who go to live matches aren't all going to stop going because the game is available on their PC. When I was in France many moons ago ...
