Re: BFTG Brentford

Cracking fun, as everyone said great atmosphere great old school ground. First half superb second half dropped too deep. Ratings Bond 6 flap in the first half otherwise good Gunter 7 good performance came across to cover superbly second half. Mcshane 8 solid as a rock Ferdinand 7 played well. Obits ...

Simon Church away Bristol City - one yellow card for moaning at linesman about a penalty when a substitute warming up.
Second yellow card whilst celebrating scoring equaliser in injury time ending up in the crowd after Kalifa Cisse jumped on his back.

Re: Back from the Game / Pub

My opinion (for what its worth) from the pub Back 5 struggled, Gorkss and Harte in particular, and Harte's distribution not much cop, why not play Cummings at left back against a quick winger, hes done it before. Karacan and Leigertwood not in the game, Guthrie only in the game after playing deeper ...

Re: Bristol Pre Season (Kebe Rested!!)

I was at the game. Sonko struggled and lacked match fitness, but the praise for Gunnar I think is a bit misplaced, yes he got some vital blocks in, but throughout the first half Harrold had him in his pocket and Gunnar lost every physical battle. I like Gunnarsson, think he's a great player and serv...

Belated thanks

Apologies if on the wrong board.

After speaking to my sister last night she would like to say thanks to all reading fans who supported my nephews team at wembley (the under 11 game the team that won).

The support given by the reading fans helped made the day a special day for everyone involved.

Re: Doncaster match thread sponsored by Rugby on in the pub!

Player Ratings (from internet tv) Federici - 8 earned his money at the end Griffin - 7 what we've lacked a reliable right back Bertrand 6 - Seemed to get caught out, but had moments going forward Ingimarsson 7 - Very strong Mills 6 - It was a red card (would have been 8 before that) McAnuff 5 out of...

Re: Newcastle V Reading Match Thread

thought we were ok in the 1st half- weathered the storm then pressed them for a good period smith should probably have gone off, the second foul was worse than th e1st, and about two minutes after it, and long was pulled up when getting himself clean through on goal, no push, just used his body as ...

Re: Newcastle V Reading Match Thread

Simple we have been outmuscled in central midfield, meaning Newcastle went up against back 4. Karacan and Tabb against a big team are not able to cope. Then as they went 2 onto full back at side, causing one of Karacan and Tabb to be drawn out then huge gaps opened up in the middle, and time for opp...

Re: Shane Long

I agree he is an impact player I still remember when we were cr@p away bolton he came on 15 mins to go and springboarded us to a 3 1 win, he still can jump incredinly high. But his touch is generally poor, and if he has lost a bit of pace as said then his impact will become less and less

There is no creativity in the midfield, Hunt hard worker, when did Rosenior last play on the wing, Harper can, but Gunnarson, I´m sorry, it´s a middle championship midfield.
