Re: Where has £3.95 million gone?

RFC fans are odd beings. Austin is seen as being the complete article and Mooney is derided for only having League 1 experience.

Go figure.

Re: Red Car Park Stewarding

The problems are that as the lines on the gravel surface have been lost and with drivers parking without direction, we get a variety of issues

For the price charged a pot of paint and a brush should be within budget to remedy this?
If SJM is too tight to pay for a painter he could do it himself.

Re: Safe-standing areas - TIME FOR ACTION

The same could potentially happened in a seated area. You can blame Liverpool fans for invading their section and causing a panic for that, not terracing. Again seating makes an invasion very difficult and in this way it is safer. Had we stood next to the Wolves fans behind the goal in the play off...

Re: Safe-standing areas - TIME FOR ACTION

Ibrox appened because of problems limiting flow of fans - something which is more difficult to control on terraces. Have you ever wondered what would happen if there were a disaster at the Madstad? It takes ages to clear the seating - which does of course minimise the risk of dangerous crushes.

Re: Safe-standing areas - TIME FOR ACTION

I can't believe that you're using Hillsborough as an argument against safe-standing - that's a frighteningly simplistic and ill-informed view that has been thoroughly discredited, and one which virtually nobody subscribes to any more. If you really think that's a valid argument I'm afraid I don't a...

Re: Safe-standing areas - TIME FOR ACTION

The massive old terraces are dead and gone and no-one wants them back. ~I want them back - and I know many others who feel the same. Frankly the safe standing group / FSF and the Supporters Trusts are not going far enough. As ver they only ask for what they deem likely to be acceptable to the owner...

Long seems to go down as easily as Franny Lee.

I hate diving - even when it wins us a penalty.... Any stats on which game Long hasn't claimed at least one penalty in???

LoyalRoyalFan I thought people cheering off Howard was pathetic.

Get behind him, not boo him.

Howard is the new Hughes.

Howard Hughes? Given his occasional invisibility he may be a recluse!

Re: Cardiff - Vandalism in the away end

[quoteI agree and surely that is why Elm Park called those who witnessed it guilty as well. They are not as culpable but they surely have the incentive to try to stop their 'fellow' supporters. ]
Yes. I would certainly try and stop a group of thugs secure in the knowledge that when it all ki...

What's happened to Ivar? Surprised he can't even get on the bench if he's fit. According to Jonny Fordham on his webchat Ivar is fully fit. Pearce seems to be preferred as sub at the moment.
And rightly so, Ivar's a great backup player and perhaps right now he's a better option then Pearce ...

Re: Back from the game - Burnley Away

I thought it was a great win - but a middling performance. I don't believe it was a penalty and have seen photos proving the tackle was outside the area. Still such is football and you take the ones you shouldn't be given - as long as you are accepting of the bad decisions against you! If it wasn't ...

Re: Flags/Banners

So could flags be allowed in on a mass scale? If you mean like this http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2008/05/10/chelsea10a.jpg you can piss off. Rather see the match thanks. Spurs did this for their home game against Young Boys. Surely Spurs flags would have been more useful?

Street parking. Which is what everyone uesed to do before Identikit were hired to make every football 'stadium' in the country exactly the same

From what I recall of Torquay a few weeks ago there was precious little street parking.... Probably enough as long as they don't get promoted.

Re: Back from the Game - Palace

I noticed yesterday that our car parking charge is £8-at that sort of price how come we have a black hole? I bet it's not £8 in Torquay AP but then Arch would probably say that ours is a better standard of car park. It's free. It's also not £3.90 a pint. They have parking for 16 cars in the ...

Re: Standing at home games.

Sadly the law was draconian for a reason. The smug middle classes over at the FSF bluster about fans being treated badly - but unless they are a complete set of tools they must realise why football attracted such reactionary laws? Sadly on most message boards there is evidence that there are many wh...
