Re: A loan again (naturally)

Royal Rother Is this the point where Nigel Vaughan warrants a mention...?

Remembers my old man saying at the time, how small he was and a lightweight, plus how on earth was he a footballer! Me being a midget at that time, was even taller than him.

Re: Have you ever been attacked at a game?

I had a lairy experience in the late 80's whilst away to Bristol Rovers, who at that time were playing their games at Bath. Must have been a cup game can't remember ended goalless. After the game we were stuck in traffic, and with it being a beautiful evening windows were down and scarves hanging ou...

Re: Lee Hendrie on trial at Reading FC

He also asked what happened to the extra 6/7 million!? Gone into the Chairman's pockets? Please, please, tell me you are not falling for the usual anti-Madejski claptrap on here, I thought you were better than that. No, I was merely stating what my Brighton-supporting colleague said as from a neutr...

Re: Lee Hendrie on trial at Reading FC

My colleague is a Brighton fan and I told him that we got Hendrie on trial and he says he did well for them last season but that was in League one, whether if he can do it in the Championship is another thing. He also commented "he must be getting on a bit, but useful as a back up player"....

It implies that he going to a big club and does say people will be surprised so I reckon it probably be someone like Forest or Leeds or possibly Middlesborough. Hell could even be Bristol City.

Royals keen on Mackail-Smith

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6096263,00.html Oh and McDerm want to keep hold of the loanees on permanent deals. Wouldn't mind Mackail too. If he manages to pull this off then we got every chance of going up. Plus I think the form we shown under McDerm would attracts players.

I too feel we have missed out as everytime I see him play for Pompey he looks class - and felt he would be the answers to our prayers. I also feel we missed out on Taarabt, the QPR loan signing from Spurs as believe we were after him too at one point before he decided to make the short trip across L...

Re: RUMOUR - Doyle to Wolves for £6.5m

I just think he'll be better off somewhere better than Wolves. And I wouldn't want him to be playing for you against us the following season when you come back down. I agree with Thaumagurist as he deserves to be playing at an established Prem Club and not play for a team that could be struggling a...

Wouldn't surprise me if Bolton beat Villa tomorrow. Same way didn't expect Sunderland to beat Villa away. Hopefully O'Neill will make sure they up for it.

Can't be arsed to read all the pages so apologies if already mentioned but surely the only reason why Keane keep bidding is payback for Halford. Trying to unsettle the current form player and in the vain no-hope chance in landing his man. Keane can do one!! Hope they go down for all the money they s...

I remember one game where Jerry Williams was bombing down the right wing on the main seated stands side, left everyone for dead and was about to go into the penalty box when all of a sudden he trod on the ball and ended in a heap. My mate who was a Gills' fan always bring up that memory. It was that...
