Re: Loan Watch 2013 - 2014

SCIAG Rob Dickie went on loan to Basingstoke over Christmas, and their local sporting hack has compared him to Franz Beckenbauer:

And James Harper is there too!

Re: Mills to Leicester 5 Million

Interesting piece in the Wolverhampton paper about missing out on Mills and how Reading pushed the price up in a 'phoney bidding war.' Wolves’ offer to Reading for the centre-half was actually less than £3million. Despite only two clubs chasing his signature, Leicester continued to up the bidding on...

Re: SPECULATION: Michael Kightly

http://www.expressandstar.com/sport/2010/09/03/michael-kightly-open-to-a-loan-move/ Local paper reporting it as well. I really liked him as a player and would love to see him at Reading, but when would he be fit? Do we really want to just nurse him back to full fitness just in time for him to return...

I posted it on Twitter a couple of weeks back. Perhaps 'Martin' nicked it from there.

Ian Royal Bit of a surprise change there. No Sig, no Howard, no Long. In fact Howard not even in the squad

Howard's injured. Hurt his neck according to Jonny Fordham on Twitter.

Looks like they've forgotten to block tonight's game!

Thanks for this, great timing - I switched it on just as Kebe scored!

Re: Twitter for Reading FC Fans

facaldaqui Thanks, I've now followed most of the ones on your list. I'm a big twitterer but haven't found any worthwhile Reading tweeters yet. I follow @boyhunt and that's about it.

How did I forget about @boyhunt? Cheers, facaldaqui I've put him on there now.

Re: Back from the game: QPR v Reading

Angry, angry, angry. What a pile of dross that was. It was a good job Ingimarsson got himself sent off, at least then we didn't have to face the humilation of getting spanked despite having an extra player. Time for Brendan to go I'm afraid - I can't take any more of this. I've blogged/ranted too if...

Oh bloody hell, sorry Thaumagurist! Consider my wrists slapped. Thanks for your kind words though. I'm off to Glastonbury now, so won't be posting anything for a few days, but if anyone wants to contribute anything or sees something that you think would make a good blog post, please feel free to PM ...

Hey, yes I am on here. Regular reader, but rarely post. Cheers for the feedback on the blog. I'd welcome any further suggestions, guest posts etc. It's something I've only recently started, but hope to keep up over this season at least. @Thaumgurist I'd better go and sort out that typo sharpish. Re: A bet for tonight?

I had a quid on Long 1st goalscorer and Reading to win 2-0 at 33/1 so that paid for the ticket and beers. Having said that, I'm no master gambler, I also had a quid on Tabb first goalscorer... So you get your money back right ? Tabb was not in the 16. You do? Well if I'd known that I would have ask...

Drunkenly asked Ron Grant for a lift to the station after the open top bus celebrations when we were promoted. Suprisingly he actually did. Unfortunately I can't rememer much of my ramblings to him. On the same day had a chat with Marcus as the bus was driving through one of the queiter areas. He th...

Love - Bobby Convey, I have always had an irrational liking of Convey, even in that first season when he was a bit rubbish I wanted him in the team. Then he came good last season and I loved him again. Even now, I see Hunt playing really well but want Convey back in the team and it pains me that he ...

If I had money on one player to score rather than another it would spoil it.

Not at all mate. I usually stick a couple of quid on Sonko for last goal. Rarely comes in but every corner or free kick we get in the last twenty minutes is twice as exciting!

I think he is a pretty good keeper and certainly the best that we've got at the club. He is by no means terrible. And recently he hasn't exactly had the most solid defence in front of him. He hasnt looked as assured this season as last and has made a few mistakes but I still feel comfortable with hi...
