Re: (Soon to be) CONFIMRED - some kind of Serbian bloke

Surely this has to be a wind up. Firstly we were going to appoint one Serb I had never heard of and now we were going to appoint a different one I have never heard of whereas what we desperately need is a manager with experience of this league This after appointing a Portuguese that none of us had ...

Re: Season 20/21

2 weeks until the season starts. Perfect timing yet again. Hardly surprising players don't want to stay. Atmosphere must be unsettling. And now the club has just announced a 10 day training camp in Portugal, flying out Friday 28th August! Who will run that - Gilkesy? https://www.getreading.co.uk/sp...

I was just texting the exact same thing to my lads. Amalgamate with Reading City, at least then we'd have a few players.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a) sponsored by Sean Evers

higher I vaguely recall a 0-7 away win at Southport or somewhere millenia ago

Possibly you're thinking of the 8-0 win over them at EP in March 1970.

We've one away League win by 5 goals, a 6-1 win at Swansea 23/09/1989.

A couple of 6's. Last one was 6-0 at Plymouth 12/03/1949.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (h) sponsored by John Halls

Our last shot on target was in the 27th minute. Take the lead then sit back to wait for the inevitable equaliser - often in the final stages of the match. It's the Reading way.

When was the last time we had 2 former RFC players as managers in opposing dugouts for a RFC match?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50621941

I appreciate that Benik Afobe was only a "Royal" for about 6w at the end of 2011/12, but feeling for the guy re. the above.

Words can;t express how awful that must be.

Let’s put it this way. There will be even more empty seats than usual.

Good. If people can't back a new manager at a game they shouldn't come.

We haven't got a new manager. We've got Mark Hughes' arsewipe.

No mention there on length of contract. The snake confirmed in its Berkshire Live interview: Contract It's till the end of the season. I didn't think about the length of the contract. https://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/new-reading-fc-manager-mark-17086617 So when it takes us ...

I still don;t understand about 10 days ago we were under a soft embargo, and now we've spent millions in fees and wages, without really letting anyone go, well certainly not in the numbers we were expecting. Is Mr Dai going shot or bust, hoping to get out of the Chump and so escape any retribution f...

Re: Rumour - Puscas

Have I missed something re. FFP? Has it been rescinded? Or was Aluko's transfer fee actually four-pence halfpenny not £7.5Million? Or maybe his salary was £15 million a season and now he;s out on loan that comes off our FFP liabilities?

I am confused.

Re: Next Season's Squad.

There’s a part of me who thinks we’ll be OK with the promising youngsters coming through. But at the same time, we’re not following too much of a dissimilar path to Ipswich 12 months ago (sell off first teamers, looking at young loans, using academy kids). Interested to see how it will pan out Look...

Now a bit more detail on fouls committed by RFC - league matches only though, so I was wrong to say inclusive of Knock-out cups in the earlier post. http://i67.tinypic.com/2lm1dno.jpg As ever, feel free to correct as necessary. Next up some nonsense about our goal attempts, later in the week .. or n...
